Strange that the rogue is so eager for the item...

1) I've played a rogue in WoW for several years (second char to help the 2nd group out) - if I don't call dibs on everything, somethings wrong with me
2) Besides the slight reason that I find it amusing from a RP-point, another reason is that I know I am town, so why vote anyone else? And yes, if everyone does that, it is a toss-up, but that's not how it works out. Others don't even want it, of fear to misuse it or because they think they could die early or they simply don't want the responsibility. Or they believe someone else is better suited for the task.

Anyhow, what do you find strange about me voting me?

Due to the benefits I listed, it seems to me like the main purpose of the scroll is to paint a giant target on whomever is carrying it. On the other hand, a rogue might have some experience in avoiding death... So I guess you get my vote Serdoa.

Oh Ser Thrawn, if you had only voted you would have saved yourself and aided your fellows. I will never understand the ways of sorcerers.

I like to think I would have changed vote if I had seen Thrawn's posts, but of course it is easy to say that after the fact. That was an unfortunate lynch, pushed through by at least two absent players. And the incorrect vote tally making it seem inevitable didn't help, maybe Thrawn would have voted if he realised it would have saved him, or maybe Serdoa's vote would have changed.

As for the scroll, I will not take it Sers and Milady. That is unnatural magic and it makes my whiskers cold.

The real reason I won't take it is because I think it is a very powerful item in a small game. But it cannot be activated before Day 3. Also important - there is no way of faking its use. Scum can't pretend they've spoken with a dead player (which would be a hilarious gambit, trying to mimic them), the player actually returns to the thread for a day. That means there is no downside to giving it to a shady player, but a huge downside giving it to a player who might be nightkilled.

Many of you have spoken highly of Ser de Glum, for which I thank you (though you may think less of me after I murdered an innocent). But I worry that by Day 3 I may be more likely to be in the graveyard than speaking to it. Serdoa might survive, but I would probably feel safer giving the scroll to someone the munchkins are unlikely to want to kill. Perhaps even Rowain!

Once an item is given it is with that player for good. No corpse looting at this table, Paladin.

At least for me I can say: No, it would have not. I mean I was the one pointing out the error in the vote tally, novice before that mentioned that my vote had more weight than I initially thought (though being the 6th vote on someone of course could have as well some weight, making it seem inevitable to some), but I stand by the reason given when I voted. I skimmed how thrawn played 47 and 48 and suddenly felt that his performance here was too on the nose being a newbie feeling lost. I am regretful that he really was though. I do feel a little bit responsible as this is the second game he plays with me and the second time he wants out on the first day.

Well in that case I definitely do not want it and I am suspicious of Novice and Lewwyn, together again, and both so quick to sing me their offer of a poisoned chalice. They should have thought through the logic of this also. 

Perhaps Ser Tarkeel, you would like to carry this burden?
