I do like your post Serdoa

(October 28th, 2020, 02:20)Serdoa Wrote: We've all forgotten the scroll have we? Even if it is not strong, I sincerely doubt there was a chance to get lynched today over other targets. If I wanted to fake a post restriction, I would do so on D3 or D4 - and do it for the whole day, not just a few hours. Which btw is why I am certain that this is one of the "role-powers", as it is a nice touch without really being strong, which is also the only way to keep the game balanced when you give role/power before alignment. I'd also think that people have their "role-power" and some an additional "real-power" - like watcher or tracker. Or maybe none of those "real-powers" exist at all in the game. But that's enough meta-speculation for me.

It makes indeed no sense to fake it today. But it doesn't make sense to be used on you in any way since you got the scroll. That no one has come and claimed to have done it is strange. For me that let me rather lean it was done by scum who are too afraid to get fire for it. Munchkins/Grognards don't want attention.
Thematically it can fit too many roles* so we learn little from it. This makes SD's jump on Adrien weird.

I hate playing town. getting a kill-power like last game does make it better. But I find wolfplay far nicer and more fun. I don't get those people that complain about rolling wolf it is IMO the easiest part you can have. (Being traitor the hardest)

It's also his first serious post, almost 24h in. And it's in the middle of some interesting back and forth between various players, so it's kind of odd that he'd try to redirect the discussion on thrawn.
The fact that he comes back at post 215 but posts nothing that contributes to the discussion is also a bad point.

Pressuring Serdoa for his vote leads nowhere until he can talk freely, so Superdeath

I stayed on Thrawn because of two reasons, 1: He failed to mention anything that wasnt "what should i be" or other nonsense and i wanted him to post something of substance 2: I went to bed and was at work when he showed up at the end.

I, the great warlock of Yggdrasil do not see any reason other than deception for the glorious game-maker to give anyone the ability to make Serdoa have this talking restriction. I believe it is a classic rogue trick to avoid suspicion and protect himself from being kicked out this round.

Who would be granted such an ability? While i believe it is a ruse, my best guesses would be the  Monk   making someone else only able to "meditate"/vote OR Rowain the barbarian, perhaps with some sort of "rage/anger blinds you/cant talk"?

If Serdoa has this posting restriction, someone doesnt want him using the scroll that easily to bring back someone from the dead to give us wisdom. That is my best guess

What. The. Hell.

1) you assume that Serdoa's faking it. Strange to fake a post restriction that only lasts for parts of the day, strange to fake one where you can't even quote, overall it makes no sense.
2) you assume I had to do it, and Serdoa rightly gives you other possibilities. Even if the powers match the RP there are plently of ways to make a solid setup, so we can't be certain who has what kind of power.
3) you assume the person who did it is a wolf. Might be, might not be. Unless you have other things against the person with that power (by your own assumption, me) that's a crappy reason to vote for someone on D2. I didn't participate enough during D1 for you to have an opinion on my play ? So you're going solely upon that ? And while quoting a post of mine where I vote for you, so I definitely see this vote as a "no you" which is definitely not the kind of votes we want to see D2.

Serdoa's big post didn't feel scummy even though I disagree with several parts of it. I wasn't sure I wanted to vote for Serdoa anyway, so my vote's staying on you.

BTW I think D2 is a little bit too early to start talking about who has what role etc... If people want to reveal stuff it's better to do it D3 or D4, unless someone's caught a scum with his hand in a jar.

Oh and BTW Serdoa if I wanted you lynched today I would have said something during the night to avoid giving you the scroll and I'd have voted for you today. I haven't done that, I just explained why I don't like your vote on him.
On your specific points :
1) Yes it nailed thrawn, as in literally gave him the vote he needed to het lynched. There are worlds in which it doesn't nail him because someone (thrawn or someone else) comes in and votes DS in the end. But in this world it nailed him.
2) I'm listing possibilities, and assigning them broad probabilities. The probability is not zero, but it's not high. I also express my train of thoughts on this matter, which is something town wants to do.
3) Once again I'm not super convinced by my own case, just expressing my concerns. Maybe you're thinking "wolf me would never do that", but I'm not in your head and I don't know what your alignement is.
4) Until we know the alignement of the second choice, the person who nailed the first choice (who's town) is put in a bad light. It can always be a last minute save by the wolf team to save their teammate. You make good arguments that claim that the wolf team might not want to endanger itself for an absent DS, but we don't know what DS would have posted in the wolf QT and anyway there's too much WIFOM in there for my taste.
5) Well I had the same vibes as I did in 46. Some desperation, being lost etc...
6) Perhaps I should have worded that differently yes. It was my thought at the time of his lynch though : there was no way he was scum and posting those messages.

I'm not trying to set you up or anything. If I had to bet on your alignement right now I'd say you're town. But that vote stops me from putting you in my town reads.

Fair enough. We do see that differently, but we both have given our reasoning and I admit that one can see that differently than I do. Your point that you can't see in my head is taken, I hope though that my explanations help at least giving an idea what is going on there.

My brain, song-sodden, outruns my heavy tongue
Sure and certain? If only I could know
But Fighter, Rogue and Barb gave pause Day 1

Sweet-tempered Rowain met query with spite
Ready was I to offer him my blade
Still today would I think that justice mete
But my doubt-gnawed heart beats yet afraid

Novice, so quick, you begged the bardic gift
While Lewwyn dogged your step, your vote, your thought
Both as one offered death to Ser de Glum
That poisoned cup, though withdrawn, chills me yet

The Fighter and The Bard, dark twins in blood?
Any such double conjunction rare
Novice, could Lewwyn play your lover sweet?
Lewwyn, I put the opposite conceit.
