lol

Maybe international observers are needed to prevent ballot stuffing.

Funny thing, because international observers for example from the OSCE are observing the election. smile

As a matter of fact, there are currently international observers from the OSCE in the US to watch the election:

- crosspost, Charriu was faster

- Now I've posted in the "wrong" thread as well, maybe a moderator can move election related posts to the American politics thread.

11 people based in Washington DC. What are they observing, the decor of a luxury hotel? It's one big reality show.

In other places, they don't pretend that true neutrality exists. Secular values come first, after that any religious stuff that doesn't conflict is allowed.

Best example would be a judge. They are meant to be impartial and neutral, so should they be allowed to wear a hijab. I'm definitely not conservative, but in this case I would argue: No they should not be allowed to wear anything that is in conflict with that neutrality.

That's why in the US a teacher could get in trouble, but a student isn't representing the school system in the same way.

What did you expect? Hundreds of observers for every US state? The mission and its limitations are outlined on the website:

https://www.osce.org/odihr/elections/usa/456787 Wrote:Observers will closely follow fundamental components of the elections such as:
  • The legal framework, including federal and state election legislation
  • Election administration - including voter registration, voter identification, alternative voting mechanisms and measures to ensure secrecy of the vote
  • Constituency delimitation - including the role of the United States Census in creating voting districts and the mechanisms for delimitation
  • New voting technologies - focusing on the type of technology used in the elections, certification and evaluation of these technologies
  • The campaign environment
  • Campaign finance
  • Coverage of these elections by the media, including online media
Election Day
While mission members will visit a limited number of polling stations on election day, observers will not conduct a systematic observation of voting, counting or tabulation of results. An interim report will be published to update the public and media during the course of the observation. The day after the elections, ODIHR’s preliminary findings and conclusions will be presented at a press conference.

Ergo it's all for show, a big reality show in fact.

TLDR, does it include 'enjoy liquor at luxury hotel'?

The way you view poor people is just disgusting. What you are spouting is pretty much all nazi-speak, meant to - in the end - dehumanize people and take away their rights. It's honestly baffling to me that in 2020 someone is still stating such nonsense with seemingly absolute conviction that everyone else is just exhibiting animal-like behavior while he himself of course is the shining beacon of critical thought.

I really hoped never in my life to have to deal with people like you.
