[SPOILER] Tarmon Gai'don

Why not Mao, or Sury?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. Mao was high in consideration. I compared Creative and Expansive on the previous page, with Creative edging out the victory due to the focus on early game.

Sury would have been good too thumbsup Why not then? I already had my mind set on Protective.

Ran some micro plans.

WB into Worker was slowest
Worker into WB with BW first gets 2nd worker out fastest, but no warrior until 1T after first settler
Worker into WB with TW before BW gets an extra road and two warriors out before first settler, but no 2nd worker until after settler

Capital settled:

It's going to be a weaker capital than I've had in recent games. Low production makes me want to leave some forests for lumbermills, but I probably can't afford to lose the momentum.
I picked traits that favor early game so I need to go hard.

Early game turns shouldn't be this slow cry

I'm going to change the theme to something fun. Just don't know what yet.

I think PRO is still very strong, I know most like FIN over Pro but with the right strategy PRO can be better. WangKon For sure is a great pick, I'm interested if Ruff can leverage it.

I'm glad people are going CRE, I usually chicken out and go a different way. And I think both IMP and EXP are pretty great. They feed my playstyle better than CRE usually.

Good luck, I'm sure the turns will pick up. 55 has been pretty quick lately.

Thanks for the suggestion. A fitting name, after all we're going to be eaten by the shark smile

I went another route with the new theme in the end. Updated OP in accordance!

Our capital is now called Car'a'carn, which means the chief of chiefs, The Dragon Reborn!
Lands scouted so far would have looked quite nice for financial cottage spam. Maybe we double down on farms instead.
Map script could be donut if it's not full custom. The island added in for ICTR.

Mongolians are our close neighbors. They are probably expanding this way with those pigs there.
We should definitely make use of the hills and settle our cities on them.

Tested this on the sandbox: Settling on the marble plains hill makes it a 3 hammer tile. Second city there?

Good theme choice! I'm looking forward to seeing what the TV adaption will be like. It's been a while since I read them, and they're so long they've sort of blurred in my head by now, so hopefully the plot will still hold some suspense for me.
