[Mjmd #56 no players] One ring to find them

About to go back into the void so good timing. If neighbor is much farther I choose the wrong civ leader combo. Check culture to see if you can see any edges. I'll leave to your discretion but if there is another hill 2 tiles away that general direction move there.

All water starts. Mono curved landmass so far. Pb51 reunion. It all points to a highlands map!!!   wink

I mean we (actually youtongue) made the pick based on the land tiles available and compared with other games. So if we don't find someone soon in the NE, I'm sure there'll be a prospective victim in another direction smile

I still blame you for suggesting Rome! Mind I ran with it sooooo

Edit. Just to be clear I think we are on a donut and there should be someone there.

emptyness, still (yes I checked the zoomed out culture view, nothing)

also while SD did place an occasional plains tile this time, it's still very green.

I think it's time now to move E-SE next turn and wheel back. If it's a donut, maybe half of the players are on the inner edge (as it was in PB51)?

capital border pop reveals another jungled fur - hooray for IW - and a plains tile which seems like a downgrade for that otherwise nice island

t 4 and 5 demos, in case you're tracking:

Well I lost already lol. I expected people closer. Hopefully I'm just wrong about the map type / some people are placed differently although with 11 seems unlikely.

I should be able to play the next turn. Thank you!

I see turn rolled. Mig if you want you can play 1 more for turn pace here. Move scout into forest e se as you suggested.

Fyi I am not tracking demos. I am not good enough and am too lazy.

played, and left the new turn to you.
worked unhooked fish for one turn as instructed and put one turn into BW. Scout found a sheep on a green hill, no culture yet.

Its turn 100 in PB54 so ya'll have to wait for opponent analysis.

1st off this turn found a forested corn and an unforested dear crazyeye

Here is my analysis on my pick. I am very all in. Aggressive Rome you want a big enough map your not axe or chariot rushed, but a small enough map you can still go punch someone in the face. I thought 101 tiles / player was going to be that. Plus I wanted to do something different. Finding no one near really makes me wish I had taken someone else / taken India. I could of course have the map wrong. I thought PB52 was a donut and it very much wasn't. I still have imperialistic as a good early game trait, but I do hope to find someone near ish. In any case expect a crashed economy at some point.

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."
-Old Harry. PB48.

And just like that turn roles and I find our likely victim. Ruff playing pro/fin of celtics. I wasn't that worried about protective, but freaking protective Celts!!!! 13 tiles apart. Hoping for flatland between us I guess. Also the old just out produce with more cities Imperialistic plan.
