Setup all the cities to whip out a numid army as quickly as i can. Since i have only 1 fucking source of horse, and its right in Lewwyns face... i put an axe on it so that his chariot couldnt just move and burn my horses. ( also we had a cow/cow and i hadnt been covering my workers so a bit odd that he was covering ALL of his workers )
Ive got a settler headed to the Sugar/spice/clam site which will gain me 2 happy which i desperately need. I hope to hit Lewwyn and take the sheep/crab city from the fog and either sue for peace, or continue the assault depending on what he brings to the table.
I still hate this map and i dont know how some of these people have room for so many cities while i had jungle on both sides, and had to FIGHT for my horse spot. ( Also iron, but thats not needed yet ) I feel this is payback for some slight of mine. At least i got my mini-goal of getting a wonder, and maybe Mjmd/Amicalola will join me in eating Lewwyn so i can see his teams smug faces fall.

Okay.
If he wins the Chariot vs PRO-archer in my southern city, i will no longer be playing this pitboss.
But if you cant read/understand what happened here, quick recap: Lewwyn rushed with axes hoping to stop me from keeping my horses which are only 1 tile closer to me than him, i countered it with some nicely timed archers. We take peace, because well.... i was already far behind at that point because of barbs and lack of micro at the beginning. Then i discover the gold tile and try and rush a settler there, only to find that HE was planning on settling for it. Okay, whatever ill send a peaceful relations cow/cow and ill settle the cow/seafood spot. THEN i start to build my way back from oblivion because hey, i apparently have alot less room to settle than others and the land i do have is jungle. He also completed HANGING GARDENS for plenty of whip population... Terrific. Now, of course... i WAS planning on getting some numids up and hitting Lewwyn, thats kinda my only option. However, this is just a complete shitbag move. Possibly a smart shitbag move, but god damn do i not like how it was done. You will also notice he ACCEPTED the fish/fish... and then declared anyway because apparently a couple workers, and an axe vs chariot is enough to declare war. Also, his teleporting chariot bounced to a nice spot and got to steal a worker from me that was 1t from finishing a chop, and my scout that was in his lands got to teleport to a PERFECT spot to get sniped by his spear as well as those 2 workers i had mining the hill.
Im honestly just done updating this pitboss. I get more and more pissed looking at how utterly hopeless my start/area was for anyone except a TBS/Mack style player. Its bullshit, and im very bitter right now. So lets go play another pitboss!

Lewwyn's chariot promote healed and killed the axe, and apparently could still pillage my horses. Im done. Someone else take up this spot. Good luck.

That’s a rough sequence of events there and I totally understand your frustration. But I would encourage you to stick with it, especially if you are planning to abandon this game to start a new one. After all, there can only be one winner in these games. And if you want to win every game you can play against AI, and restart when things go south.
I can sub for a week if that would help you cool off and come back with a fresh perspective.

If there is no permanent sub, i can slide back in later ( if carthage is still alive of course ) but right now the thought of opening pb55 after the absolute punch to the face it just gave me... i dont want to be that depressed again. Last night was not pretty. I moved only the settler from the current turn, and sadly every city other than the capital/copper city were whipped for a Numid last turn, so you know.. Fun times.
Feel free to sub for a week unless someone else wants to hop in permanently. GG to Lewwyn + gang.

I offered to step in (in the lurker thread), but I'm horribly spoiled so would at best be a caretaker/spike. Sounds like a much better plan that Cornflakes takes over.
