I'm trying to log in and have a look around as a good ded lurker. However I get an error message that files does not match.

I did delete my old close to home folder and downloaded the correct version it from the PBSPY-Page.

Is there something i am missing?

Did you place the files in "My Games" or directly in the game folder? Also, Steam or old retail version?

GoG version. I put it directly in the game folder under ProgramFiles(x86)/GogGalaxy/Games/Civ4Complete/BTS/Mods as I usually do.

That should have done the trick then. I'm using Steam version and did the same setup, and it works. I assume you're using the custom executable as well? It shouldn't matter for this though.

No extra folder. No custom executable.

I'm gonna check with my backup copy of the game files and see if that works. [Edit: that was not it either. If you are wondering, I have been working on my own single player mod and have thus kept a back-up copy of the original files in case I accidentally change something important in the original files.]
