[SPOILERS]A new adventure of Vanrober always guided by chumchu

"Hi Ruff,

We think it might be trouble with turn split and we would like to take the first one in case there is a settler race.

Thanks in advance

Team Vanrober chumchu"

Something like that?

If he thinks it is a race and double moves us to get first half of the timer that feels sketchy to me. If he declares to lock in a turnsplit he should have sent you a PM about that. If you have not gotten a PM I do not think that is the case.

I would send my original message as we do not know the situation and should therefore not mention a settler race. (He might infer it but that is beyond our control).

Hi there!

We saw your message in the organizing thread about a double move and thought it applied to us. We have been observing a turn-split with you since our borders and units are so close. We have been playing before you for some time now which is why we were surprised that you moved before us this turn. To avoid any further confusion, could we please observe a turn-split. As we have been moving before you earlier we would like the first half of the timer if that is OK with you.

Best wishes/

Quote:I would like to observe a turn split and have been trying to return to the first position that I held T31 thru 33/4.

From the log ...
T31 ruff first
T32 ruff first
T33 ruff first
T34 unclear when you finished turn
T35 vanrober first
T36 vanrober first
T37 vanrober first

Your 'some time' is a bit of a stretch.

here is his answer, not sure what he means

I mean, i know that he means he wants to come back to the first part of the turn split but we want to continiu there so what is the move then?

I think three turns is clear enough and "some time". He does not apparently and wants to move first. I think this is unfriendly play. However, he probaby does not like that our warriors parked outside his borders and may be slightly tilted.

Moving first is definitely an edge in a settler race. I would be willing to concede that advantage to him in order for the game to move on. It is not a clear cut case anyway. Are you? In that case we can let him go first and observe a turn split that way. He did nothing abusive with his double move as I see it.

If you are not willing we could ask the global lurkers to take a look.

For now it will take us 3 turns to settle. what i ve thought is that if we see his settler then we cand eclare war to avoid him coming in, but im not sure if thats the play.

Then you think we should concede? what if we double turn now? would it be too much?

I ve been hesitating so much. In first instance i though i should concede, but then realized that we did right, he doubleturned just because, and im not sure he has a settler there ready to make his second city, so if he doesnt do it this turn it it will be our since he cannot double turn in a settling race. We tried the polite way and he thinks 4 turns played first is not enough to say we were playing first... I think it is.

If this problem persist then lurkers will need to come and try to figure out.

Anyways, this is how i left my turn:

Concede the first position in turn order to him. Then we should not double move but keep the current turn split.

If he moves up a settler we can definitely declare war if it suits us. As we are already in a turn split there is no risk for double moves so you can do it whenever it suits you.

Hope that clears it up.
