They double moved me on the very first turn of the war.
Played 2nd in the turn and then first the next turn.
Please change my colors to #46 Primary.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

They declared on you after a double move? I thought you declared on them?
Anyway, a few people have noted that you're camping the turn roll, is that because of play windows or to see what gets produced in their cities?

True ... I DoW on them ... but they pretty much knew it was coming and doubled me up as above.
Yes ... if I am second in the turn order, then I will be a very late second and take one advantage 2nd gives you (a quick peak of changing stats as the turn rolls). I typically play within an hour or two of the penultimate player so I am not slowing the game much.

Oh ... Celtics have been peppering me with peace offers ... but not last two turns. I think they are more confident of holding their own. Axes, Spears, Archer and warriors now in their forward city.

and now a pm ...
Quote:Hello Ruff,
I have been wondering, if I should write you or not. I think you try to be the last player to end the turn, so you can see the start of the new turn before us, when it's our part of the split (Rule number 5 of the etiquette). It would be nice if you could end your turn before that or log off immediately on the new turn. I will always try to play asap to leave you enough time.
Thanks in advance

Here is what the log says for the last 10ish turns ...
5 minutes is too long. Under 2 minutes ... <shoulder hunch>

In other news, my water cooled main computer has an anemic flow rate (0.33 gpm at 100% PWM with two D5 pumps). All I have is a CPU block, a video block and 2 x 360 radiators. I am pretty sure that one of both of my pumps are crap. I picked up two new D5 pumps (same as what I currently have) during the ThanksGiving sales, picked up a couple of quick disconnects last night ... and over my Christmas vaca ... I will be swapping my PC back to air (must keep it running for things like ... facebook, forums, ... civ4?) and hooking up / testing each pump all by itself in a little flow test.
We will find the culprit(s).
Update: Finally got around to testing my old pumps in an extended soft tube run through my CPU and GPU block. Both pumps together managed a flow rate of a touch under 4 lpm (litres per minute). I then swapped them into a single pump situation and both managed 1.9 lpm. I then installed one of the new pumps (now it is non-returnable) and it hit 5.3 lpm. My old pumps were crap.
That is a (small) relief. I have now added both pumps into my dual pump header and will replumb my computer under water over the Christmas break. I will have to shorten the ridiculously long pump wires.

Hey, congratulations on your aquatic computer. Will you use it for phishing?
I'm not too bothered about any info you get from the turn roll, but I wonder how someone is supposed to attack you and claim the second half of the timer?

No, just surfing and the like. It only really gets a temp workout when I rip DVDs / BlueRays ... given that Christmas is right around the corner and Santa may (or maynot) be giving me dozens ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) of TV shows, etc ... I might be doing some ripping shortly.

Yes ... that is a good point. I don't have an answer.
