Probably, but the way Ichabod let his cities overrun was also quite curious. He was a clear game leader at the time and already suffered a small attack from my side. Apparently it was to small to get him out of his farmer's Gambit and so he was surprised by Woden (Woden's Navy mostly, as ge conquered only two cities by land)
KG and GM are both already beyond 60 production and Isaac and EM can steal some tiles to get near to 60 as well.
Ruhr is also a 1240
investment, but its impact is bigger and it is independent from running the 100% IZ adjacency card.
Woden's issue is that he was trusting to much on Free inquiry and did not get his Science infrastructure up in time. Granted he was investing in military to stop Ichabod from running away with the game. Thanks Woden!
I do not get why he was mass building renaissance walls though, basically all his cities built them when I last could see his building queues.
Maybe he was kind of checked out at that time?
Currently I would say we are the slight favourite to win this, likely:
- Kaiser 35%
- Woden 30%
- Suboptimal 25%
- Ichabod 10%
A lot depends on if we can defend our territory against Suboptimal, he is out of the game if he does not gain at least significant plunder and science from this attack. So I probably will churn out some more units.
Btw, it looks like Ichabod beats Suboptimal to Darwin, but it is close. Ichabod has the better
income so he should be able to snipe him if he wants. For Ichabod Darwin is 1000 science worth, so about 25 turns of science delta to us.
