PB38 end game was rough. My vote for 100-110 tiles per player was definitely trying to balance small map people vs people who want more space vs UMMMM this going to be crazy late game if everyone gets 120 tiles per.
PB38 was some absurd ~200 per player, if I recall. Insane.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
I just looked up PB38, actually 230 per player! PB13 was 140 and PB53 was 80.
I'd play a 100 tiles per player, depending how many signups we get I might go a bit larger.
I think the best will be for everybody who is interested in playing to fill in votes, and mark in the spreadsheet where their possible red lines are. Cairo asked explcitly for 120+ tiles per player, not sure how strict he is on that. If we can find a compromise great, in the worst case we have to take an average of the votes and if somebody wants to bow out at that point then that's it.
TBS / Cornflakes, can I put you on the signup list under these conditions?

I don't know about tile counts but I'd at least not like to be competing for tiles with my 2nd city ala PB56.
