an artillery army will 1 shot a battleship with a balloon. That's got to be our priority. to drive them back. hopefully as a surprise.

New turn, John Lamarr and its FC were able to one shot a musket on defensive terrain, I like it. I think you are right that defense into attacking Woden seems to be the better plan right now. Suboptimal has it way more difficult to bring his army to help defend/counterattack than at CMF.

We will need to watch Suboptimals loyality pressure though, he is taking 2 cities from CMF (maybe Bruins barely not) in about ~6-8 turns. I see what I can do there with some extra loyality pressure to have the stronger pressure than him there. Maybe I can jsut barely keep the cities from switching for free to fall into rebellion instead.



The pounding continues, next turn our Encampment will be gone besides a bit of urban defense. Suboptimals Armada is pulling him strong again, GA are kind of bonkers.
AK though is holding out well for the moment.



Here is some more intel on Suboptimals units in the area, there probably are a bunch of Sea dogs we cannot see as well. His land force seems to be preparing for raiding my territory, 3 likely Caparison/Depredation Cavalry at our gates. I hope they can maximum move onto the CH and Entertainment district. Suboptimal is likely fighting the Encampment to try a break through.
We can have 3 FC in range as well as the walls, depending on which field he is going to deploy his units. I bit the apple and repositioned Viktor to Isaac, Moksha is now spreading our religion in the SW and Liang is in John Lamarr to increase its , and in 5 turns



Big Ben is under construction, I optimized GM to finish it barely in 5 turns, when KG will also finish Potala Palace. Nearly 200 is crazy good, though the enemy is already at the gates.
UN sanctions are lifted in 2 turns, Mobilization is timed identically as we are going to slot out of some policies.
Conscription -> Levee en Masse
Retainers -> 50% Infantery card
Liberalism -> Wars of Religion ? (I think Sub also has his religion in most of his cities by now, that would be a 5 CS but a -13 amenity swing bringing us into discontent. Maybe I postpone this until we have more amenites with Zoos

Yes they are but are also on very good defense values.
His Armada is a concern though as it fires with 97 CS now and the Curassier is at 101 CS while the Bombard is at 87. I am not sure if our encampment still can fire next turn as it has been reduced to 0 health while its Walls are still barely existant.



Suboptimal pillaged our Market but there seems to be curious things going on again as there is no unit visible. He also decided to shoot on our Cavalry down there which was barely scratched despite being only at 62 +5 MA + 3 hill +3 forest +3 Matterhorn =76 CS.



I was first convinced that he has to have pillaged and then retreated the unit by forming a corps, but then I checked and remembered that forming the corps should end any units turn, even with Caparison.



Instead he must have used one of his Caparison Cavalry and deleted it afterwards, as he needed at least 4 movement to get onto the tile and pillage it. However this also tells me that there was no point buying the dam tile, as apparently he can use my bridges and did not need to spend 3 movement to cross the river.

Ah lessons learned.



AK is still holding, but not for long anymore. We can bring relief in 3-4 turns, when the first baloons get ready. I will probably delay Big Ben by 1-2 turns to make sure to get the baloons out quickly.

Here is the save, next turn unit production starts. Woden might be able to take Misty Mountain next turn, I decided to give him the chance to conquer it next turn to weaken Woden over trying to conquer it on my own with a musket and an Artillery. It might rebel and turn to me in any case if Ichabod does not raze it. This also frees the Artillery to go to the N and support the fight there.

if you buy a balloon it will immediately boost your range units.

That may be best? Balloon is 480 gold

May also need to sacrifice that iron clad if it buys a turn. No point losing it in the city.

Finish big ben and use the gold to buy balloon? after getting troops in place.

I am not sure I can buy it as it is a support unit, but I will check before slowing Big Ben down. We also want to upgrade the lvl3 bombard coming from the South to an Artillery. In 2 turns we can buy an Artillery Corps directly.



UN decisions are good this time, I hope Ichabod shares my opinion on slowing down Suboptimal is important, but I am not sure if he is even aware of the loaylity situation at CMF.

i think you can buy it it showed as an option in the game i looked at to get the cost.

you ideally want big ben before those upgrades and buys.

You can buy corps at Isaac and CF
