New EitB PBEM

![]() fwiw mack I generated the game with the mod installed like so:
I'm out of ideas ![]() Who set up the last PBEMs, in which all of the players here but me participated? What mod version was used there? I can download Cairo's mod installation which I think he linked some posts ago. But it appears that mack and Cairo have identical mod files already, but are incompatible? Maybe we should try at least to make one full circle with the test PBEM that I posted? As in, Dave picks up the save that I posted, plays a turn with Tebryn, then forwards it to Cairo?
done everithing as you said. Still doesnt work. With that modification I tryed sandolphon save and worked.
Ok I went and looked it up
PBEM 52 was played on an unedited mirrorland rolled by Aurorarcher who also played. PBEM 53 was a map that Bob made, not sure if he just selected one from a set of random rolls. We have already tried with a game set up by Bob here, without success. That indicates that the problem is the map rather than the mod versions of different players (also, we have reinstalled it ad nauseam already). If we can get a full circle with the test game that would be an important confirmation. I would still like to try to salvage naufragar's map, because he spent effort making it, and what I have seen of our start is pretty interesting and I've given it some though. I'm trying to come to grips with what makes naufragar's map different from others. Of course I can't know most stuff. He mentioned towers. I can automatically (without looking) remove those from the WBsave file and try to start a game with that. I imagine they are nice to have, but not essential elements of the map? Will be some time later today though. If naufragar can do it please go ahead. Anybody (and particularly naufragar) can think of anything else that could make the map not like a random one? Also Dave or Cairo, can you post a screenshot of the settings (F8) in the save that worked for you (but not mack). I think there was a difference between this and the last one that I sent and which did not work, but I can't access it without looking at Dave's start.
OK, I played the test game turn and sent it on to mack.
Here's the setting screen for the save I was sent that didn't work for mack (there aren't any actual spoilers, I don't think): (January 28th, 2021, 08:13)Miguelito Wrote: Anybody (and particularly naufragar) can think of anything else that could make the map not like a random one? The map was a randomly rolled Tiny Totestra that I upped to Small. (I consider this a spoiler, but whatcha gonna do?) A Tiny Pangaea is 40x24 but a Tiny Totestra is 60x40, so I increased the size so the Kurios wouldn't be underpowered. (I did this before the starting picks were rolled.) If that's the Small size is the problem, then either you can't use the map or you shouldn't use the Kurios. That's the only thing I can think of that would be different (besides, obviously, the tiles). I'll tinker with the map in a bit to try your variants. It would be useful if we could find a way for Auro to test this save without spoilers, since that would mean we've got it working for 4/5 players.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

I think you could play my turn that loaded for you as a PBEM, load the resulting Mr. Cairo save and play it, load the the resulting mackoti save and play it, then mail out the resulting file to Aurorarcher. |
