Well here goes, my main goal is to not be the first one out, all the help is very appreciated

Hey welcome and good luck. I am no CIV 4 MP player but reading with interest.

Many players are already listed to participate, but I recommend you try to get a dedlurker to converse with in this thread.

Posting updates here is greatly appreciated by us lurkers but can feel a bit lonely sometimes as people are hesitant to answer in an influencing way.
You can expect people to answer on direct game related technical questions, but not on recommendations or indirect questions/misconceptions.

For example you could ask if you can put a camp on Elfenbein im Dschungel and would get an answer.
But when remarking that you are disadvantaged because other people have Ebenenelfenbein, nobody would interfere to tell you that you can put a camp nonetheless.

If you decide to report, the views of your thread give you a good measure on the activity, even if nobody is posting.

I ve been talking with him already and im going to try to dedlurk him. Im a bit too noob and it will be my first time dedlurking someone so... im not sure how it will go!

But im ready to make this thread spamable!

that is great, having a dedlurker is a huge help as you have less the feeling of reporting into a void and it is more unlikely that you play on autopilot as you run some questions and ideas by your dedlurker. I know full well that my CIV 6 PBEM 18 would look way worse without roland starting to chime in and waking me out of my autopilot slumber.

I would prefere to see the picture before locking any of those. As everyone will do, of course.

my thoughts before this were the following:

Org, best trait. More dificulty plus fin nerfed i think make this trait the best economical trir, also looking into the reports kindly Charriu has done for us on several of the last PB we have been playing.

Cre, it seems decent, and Noble is making a really nice use on PB56 i guess.

Imp, it seems the most used trait of the mod. So i would keep using it.

Agr, i think its a fun trait to play, it allows really agresive settles on the face of the neighbour without much contestation, also it would be nice to pair it with some kind of economical trait to make it work better.

phi, i think its a good trait but im not used at all to get specialist, which might be one of my worst downsides as a player.

spi, i think miguelito/rusten did an awesome use of this trait on PB54 (look at it if you didnt), and i think its really nice if you use it well, sadly im not sure if i would be able to do it any kind of decent.

ind, i think there is no space for this trait in a PB this big, you wont just be able to take 1 wonder as most and that will be the one you focus most. So getting 1 trait to get 1 wonder in the whole game.... idk it doesnt make much sense on my head.

exp, i think is a good expansive trait but i dont really like it that much.

Fin, as i said, too nerfed. I think its not worth it at all. It will delay your early game a lot to get a really good late, but i dont usually last for that.

Pro, i like it a lot in a defensive civ, like celts or Natives, maybe Babylon too for his UU. This would be a nice combo to make a decent way of cultural or space victory, but again, im not sure if i would last that much. (im talking about me, since i dont know your skills Josh, either way your thoughts are the ones that will rule, so i give you a better understanding of myself as a player so you can make a better decision with this information i give you)



So looking at RNGesus and what Lew brought us, i think Asoka would be a really nice civ, and if its watery it would be nice America too, but as i said, totally up to you! Im here to help as much as i can!
