I'm at least 4 turns from attacking tarkeel, but he's camping the 2nd half of the clock. he flipped the turn last time and refused to play.

Is this right? I mean, it's not like we are having a slow turn pace or anything.

I'm 1 turn from construction. A stack of 10 praets is good.

A stack of praets with catapults is better.

If this is only because of the situation with you, I'd argue that it's a clock game and hence not ok. He may have a turn split situation with another player though, or maybe he wanted to discuss the turn with his dedlurker.

Yeah, if he's doing that intentionally because he saw your praets then that's not cool. But it's also true that you don't know what may be going on for his other borders.

closed borders with Tarkeel, who completed the Hanging Gardens. I did not lose my gold when doing so, thoguh I expect Tarkeel to drop that soon. I mainly closed borders so Tarkeel didn't know how many cats I was bringing. It's no secret that I'm coming after him, though I am not sure how successful I[ll be.

Well, that's exciting. He declared on me to take the 2nd half and, I guess, to plunder my seafood.

He has not plundered seafood. He's just trying to get visibility.

I should be dropping in a stack of 3 cats, 10 or 11 praets, 1 axe and 2 spears next turn. Unfortunately, it's onto flatland, but we'll see what happens.

I do get calendar next turn, and will start improving both spice and dye, which will help with happiness.

in 3 turns, I get either a scientist (academy) or merchant (metal casting) from the cap. It will then grow a bit. I'll turn off research for a couple of turns - if I get a scientist, I'll need metal casting. if I get a merchant, I have to figure out what I want to get.

So, I havent' been tracking closely what Tarkeel has.

if he has ironworking and machinery, this will be a short lived invasion. If he has catapults, this might be a short-lived invasion. I'm 90% sure he doesn't have balista phants, since no one has HBR.
