[spoilers] Commodore is absolutely confident this will end well.

Quote:The game will go for at least 150 turns.
There will be setup thread drama.
One of the "newbs" (an odd spelling for "sockpuppet" I think) will flake within the first 50 turns
There will be at least one threatened rage quit over turn order.
The bitching about turn pace will start before turn 20.

Looks like I'm on track with #2 and #3 at least.

Nobody seems to have heard from Josh123456789 in a week or so. Plenty of reasons why that might be but its not a good sign.

The guy who tried to sign up via spreadsheet vote? Won that bet. Maybe they can try communicating him via Drive edits.

You may choose to accept or reject again. After this you will have one more round if you reject. For civilizations. in the third round any civ twice rejected will be removed from the pool.

Second round choices:

Thanks Lewwyn.

I pretty much have to take this one, I think. Decent start techs for the plainshill, actually-relevant UU (okay, later-half-of-game-long relevance in this German-style setup). I don't love leaving the sugar jungled, but at least with Rome you're going to want to get iron working fairly fast.

Lock in Lieu-ye of Rome.

With a dedicated beeline and brutally ignoring all nonessential techs, I expect to be able to reach Iron Working by turn 200.

It's not too late to set the game speed to Marathon.
