I've been checking that circumnavigation bug further with the 1.6 version and so far I'm not able to reproduce this behvaiour, which is very strange. Please have a look at your coastal cities and trade routes in the next round.

You did circumnavigate the world, but you should only get the additional trade route with Optics. In all of my tests this worked every time. Please take a look next turn if you have additional trade routes and when you do research Optics eventually.

You get the bonus if you have Optics and circumnavigated the world in all relevant directions. If not this is a relevant bug Charriu would have to fix. It's as of now unclear whether the message means anything.

I found the bug. It's as I expected only related to the message itself and the actual gameplay is unaffected.

It is included since approx November 2020. I'm really surprised that you already found the little easter egg. My previous easter egg (not in CtH or RtR, but PB Mod) wasn't commented for years.

Here's the empire:
I decided to fire off the GA. In all likelihood I could/should have waited and prepped for it more, but in the past I've delayed GAs for way too long always thinking I need to prep more, and I'm feeling a somewhat existential threat from Jowy atm.
I also committed the horrible sin of not revolting to Caste for the GA, again because I don't want to encourage someone to attack while I'm vulnerable, and there are no workshops and not a lot of food so...
I got Machinery the first turn of the GA, with Engineering next.
Here's the demos the second turn after SD's own GA ended:
In the capital I'm building the Great Library, I'll probably follow that with the Parthenon and then National Epic, since the capital doesn't actually have a lot of hammer potential, but it does have a decent amount of food with that lake, and wonders already, so it makes sense for generating great people:

He is the one who got the Music Artist, which is preferable to Jowy or SD getting it.

I'm assuming that it's a call to jointly attack Jowy, who is now busy attacking Ruff, because my border with Jowy has lots of sheep and some gold:
But that border is also absolutely terrible to try and attack across. No way to have any element of surprise.
Also, if you want to go to war SD, you might try and build some units:
So, no. Instead it's time to try and take a nice chunk of Ruff. Especially since it looks as though a bunch of Jowy's catapults died to take a city last turn:

Ruff's GG would have been defending against the catapults, and Jowy's would have been his Knights taking the city. I also have Pikes now, and the ability to whip Castles, so I feel safer from Jowy, enough that I can go and attack Ruff with all those WEs I built.
Also, Charriu, I got the circumnavigation message again, still no extra trade routes, but I'm getting Optics next turn so hopefully they'll appear then.

This shouldn't be too much of a spoiler, but I know from other players that they successfully got the trade routes with Optics. Just ignore the circumnavigation message which is buggy in this version. I know what triggers the bug, but I hesitated to make an update, because I didn't want to break anything.
