Quote:I'm sure that won't be at all awkward going forward......

I have  some mixed thoughts about this.

Thoughts in no particular order:
-Killed a combat1 spear. Probably hunted my poor jaguar defender so revenge was due.
-Wish I had played before on T64 when we both founded to avoid (or at least give him the option).
-He still has room for a city in there and is imperialistic.
-Wondering if that is his capital culture above. I offered peace, but if he doesn't take I might sail up that way.
-Worker seen was chopping forest NW of my axe. Very well could have been trying to build a galley of his own.
-This was not a free attack. Only 69% chance of winning, so pretty risky.
-I also had to chop whip a galley for southern island very inefficiently out of grog. That chop was meant for settler so capital didn't grow 1 turn as well.
-Whipping galley means it won't be whipping a worker for a sec which is huge.
-Also random road I mentioned was because I was following old micro and instead ended up needing a road 1W of it for settler timing, so gah.
-Does weaken a neighbor.
-Laz logged in briefly, but Ramk just settled city 5 last turn I believe, so no one, but Laz (maybe) will know it was a city raze thanks to no score mod.
-Hoping axe lives. There was a barb axe SE of Ramk that I'm hoping drew away anything else.

Other stuff:
-Lot of whips last turn hurt demo's.
-Charriu has a warrior poking around. Can see my settler going for tip.
-Elkad took open borders; has 5 cities atm (so fills 5/6 routes). Two turns ago I had the option of staying around for Mig to settle or to keep going. Since I wasn't sure I went just 1 space instead of 2. Then I ended up playing before him last turn so kept going. Slightly regret doing that now as I realize I'm going to have 2 extra trade routes to fill soon. Not going back now though! Just have to hope Elkad settles another city or two soon.

Hadn't planned on reporting this turn, but Charriu is popular:

Charriu moved warrior to roaded forest. Obviously I didn't want him to pillage. What is confusing is I showed the chariot on the wheat last turn so he knew it was there (I think, sometimes me and vision gets messed up, but he was on hill SW of chariot so pretty sure).

Mig war is obviously to move the workboat through.
Lazteuq war is more interesting.

Edit: forgot to mention Ramk is still putting EP into me which is why I still don't have Charriu info....... I probably should have switched and lost them on Ramk for a few turns.

Settled "how soon" named 'Rolling Down'. I'll do an empire screenshot next turn. I had several possible spots for Maoi, but this seems like the best atm because it still lets everything else get to 8 production without this city becoming just filler later. I could change my mind, but kind of awkward now that I've named it (yes completely different Maui).

Other things:
1) Someone finally built GLH. Obvioius candidates are Amica and past that maybe a German team (speaking of which when are mids going to fall. It fell by now in Pitboss 88). Charriu did not get which is more relevant to me (btw made peace)
2) GKC settled ON a horse. Now mind he gave up a 1st ring wet rice to do so...... Old adage that people really like using their UU is very true. Target? to note Ramk continues to put ALL of his espionage into me.
 - I should note I got open borders with GKC but didn't with Lazteuq (offered this turn). I don't remember seeing either so its a free roll and have no clue why I've been giving up on the extra commerce for my island cities (to note I don't actually have a route defogged to GKC even though I have open borders because a Lazteuq warrior was around and I was probably being overly cautions).
3) Discovered Elkad settled what looks to be an island similar to outside my capital recently. I discovered because I thought I was going along the coast not around an island ..... I consider that island to be 'filler' adjacent. It requires worker labor so I won't settle for a second.

Feel free to ask all the questions. Lurker interaction is as welcome as rain to drought lands. Even though I'm fairly new to Realms I've already fallen into bad habits like abbreviating pyramids to "mids".

So for the record the German forum started a 52 player pretty much base BTS game 1.5 years ago on Deity (crazy idiots). Here is when some of the early wonders fell:
T49 - Stonehenge
T52 - Pyramids
T56 - The Oracle
T57 - The Great Wall
T63 GLH (Great Lighthouse)

Of the actual major 5 early wonders, this game I think landed Stonehenge a littler earlier (T47?), Oracle a littler earlier (T54?), GLH T71 much later, and then pyramids A LOT later as hasn't been built yet. You would think one of the philosophic people or industrial people would be on that. Especially with fairly "safe" blob to expand to. I'm unsure when colossus was built that game as reporting from the few Realms players was scant.

Mind you if you choose to go wonder route you probably give up island expansion to some greedy player mischief

thx, not used to the term that wonders "fall" if they are built (english only being my second language).
And if I had to abbreviate the pyramids, I'd call them pyras... can probably share them this way  crazyeye One half of a pyramid still is a pyramid, technically.

@Klopps. Any questions feel free to ask. All games have their own language to learn on top of you know that its your second language! crazyeye

Still 2nd in food even after doing a stupid whip for fish. Decided to settle Old Billy Riley so it could reach it so I can treat both mainland cities as filler for now. Plus hill defense.

Elkad war peaced me while we are online evidently very aware I was getting extra gold from open borders....... He did it after I had moved both galleys or one of them likely would have moved towards Mig. Elkad island turned out not to be a detour at all so hoping for another contact who isn't so stingy! Anyways, scout will be going out of GKC lands to the tip which should at least get trade routes for my island cities. Also you can see my greed city plant location in the middle..... Told ya I would likely fall into temptation. That GKC city is the first city on the island sea I've seen that COULD compete for the spot. I may close borders with GKC after I settle it to not give him trade, we shall see. RollingDown will whip a galley at pop 2. The hill forest is already pre chopped. Its a little worker inefficient, but needed two workers to jointly improve deer and needed a chop, so stepping onto that hill twice (and eventually mine will be 3 times). I'll start a settler in Donkey next turn (although timing on that settler is aweful for order I want to settler cities which is greed than Chairu wine, so may do Cairo wine and then Greed). Whip settler in Jack but probably hold in queue for a turn or two.

I'm attempting to set up my first (as in ever in civ4) long overflow production chain in Jack. Will be unit, unit, barracks, library, settler I think (although I may switch 2nd unit with barracks math depending). Basically trying to not need a forest and maximize growth, although I actually need to hook up the beaver for additional happy. 8 cities on T75 is about where a non imperialistic civ should be especially unhindered. I did an analysis in PB56 of some past games and people who ended up finishing strong generally had about 6-9 cities (Imp could have coupe more). I know I razed a Ramk city and he popped into slavery late, but Ramk might already be tuned out, which is sad because he is awesome, but good for me. Also, he split EPs for 1 turn and then all back against me. My "border adjustment" may have antagonized him more than intended (PB53 reference). Charriu is lower in cities than I would expect from him. Him and I had a very hot war in PB52 that was concluding about now and he was at 6 cities there. I do not get the same sense from his and Laz war (see graph later), so curious as to why he is still at 5. GKC has AT least 5 and that's assuming he has 0 east of his capital. I did see a settler and work boat finish this turn so assuming he is settling an island.

I've hooked up almost every food on my portion of continent excepting the fish near northern wine island. The next settler from Jack will probably go to that one. I am VERY behind in workers though. I only have 5 atm. Both island cities will produce their own for improving beavers, which is probably the biggest omition in my empire atm. I have 1 slow building out of Whiskey. I might do 1 more whip in capital as well for another. Other than cities for middle and wine islands (again northern will be on mainland), eventually i want to settle capital island somewhere and also the x north of capital. Whiskey has just an insane amount of food and can easily give away the pig (btw lighthouse before granary there was a mistake I think?). I don't think I want to settler jungle border cities until currency.

I don't plan on turning on tech until my great scientist plops an academy in the capital (1st GS was born in world this turn.....). I don't have that many more forests I plan on chopping / I couldn't finish math in time for anyways. I got open borders with Laz so at least my island cities are at 3C. I just met Civac west of Elkad this turn and offered open borders there, but I don't actually have a route to a city yet.

Demos: I've dropped to 3rd in food and it isn't even because I'm working two scientists. GNP remains strong, with caveat that I'm creative.

Graphs for first time. Not really anything surprising. I just realized I promised power graph and gave production instead, but not going back in now! Maybe in a few turns if I see Charriu power spiking, but as you can see from list strength symbol he is under my pathetic power atm.

Questions or comments? Also song recommendations even if they are duplicate of ones I plan on using are more likely to be pushed to front of the queue (fishes for lurker interaction).

So are you feeling good about your chances with your neighbors?

Hey there, good luck with the overflow and other projects. Been lurking infrequently, are you having fun with everything that's been going on?
