Or he just treats it like SD does, IE I'm trying to trick you. Ramk killed the northern galley (he had 2) and pillaged the net. I mention the net because I'm surprised he isn't trying to take the city. If he thought he could take it why pillage the net? Shall find out next turn if he unloads troops in either case. No troops appeared from north, but neither did he send peace.

I'm playing this safe, which is going to slow me down. I moved worker on island into city even though he couldn't have seen. I switched Grog from a settler as well, which means 2/3 planned settlers are delayed. I actually decided to do a 2 pop whip in Donkey next turn to be more efficient. Plus I just have a lot of good tiles to work and just whipped Jack (the 1 completed settler).

1st forgot to mention Donovan did open borders!!!!

2nd I know I've been lacking in pictures, but its been a slower war than expected and I've been waiting on my chariot to arrive to take a peak. To note there is no road on the warrior, which is where I would have one if I was moving in two movers. He also just picked up units (it looks like). 2nd half of this turn will probably unload and pick up more; attack T84. I still did whip Donkey this turn; should be able to 1 turn an axe with overflow; just taking precautions still. Jack is 1 turning an axe with overflow; information from chariot was useful there. I think he is just trying to JUST take Barrets Privateers though, which I can't prevent. I therefore switched grog back to a settler (sending 4 units at island means units not sent at mainland); plus Grog is just really far away.

So those who have read a lot of my reports know I like pictures that do multiple things. The war hasn't been hot  so not much to show. This picture shows relevant war zone, but also shows how annoying its been to have even tried to keep with with Ramk (untill he turned on espionage). Along with me meeting people late of course. Still 7 people have or have started putting EPs into me. I'm just on my 3rd.......

BTW 524 gold might seem like a lot, but full research to currency is 13 turns atm. Costs are around 55gpt, so don't even have research for 10 turns of it. Why I've been saving for the academy.

Also, blockade is still super annoying, just has an insane range.

Edit also forgot to mention that chariot is on a riverside grassland hill pig.....

Is Ramk the German Superdeath? I was under the impression that the Germans got in tons of early wars and were super aggressive, but evidently also hold grudges??? If they fail to settle a floodplain valley and don't farm a wet rice in their crosses, but instead send doomed invasions........ An interesting meta smoke

Island stuff was just posturing evidently. there is at least 1 promotion in the middle stack. Earliest times noted for attack of massive 4 axes and 1 spear are T87 on Whiskey or T88 against Donkey (which will get 40% cultural defense that turn!!!). I have to whip stuff either way, which is obviously bad. He could have razed Barrets though. I actually had a plan to retake it if he had, and whipped a galley I now don't need for the plan (yes I had 5 things in Whiskey queue at one point). His galley is injured so 1 of mine gets 56% chance.

Oh I founded WorstOldShip this turn. City will be really good later and will eventually take all the tiles it can later probably.

Edit: I didn't mention, but the fact GS is coming out of Whiskey is also annoying...... I might have to delay it 1 turn.

No one thought to correct my math of 3+2 axes = 4?

Assuming he is going for Whiskey will be 5 axes, 1 spear, and 3 chariots (2 currently in stack; another following). Additional 2 axes 1 turn behind.

Chariot went back to capital for 1 turn for happy (have I mentioned I'm really glad I settled for an extra happy). Chariot was going to load to retake island, but obviously not needed, can still make it in in time.

Ramk added a 2nd galley, so we both have 2.

Donkey and Jack will produce defense for Donkey and will have some float forces.

Whisky is sadly delaying GS 1 turn.

T86 - LURKER QUESTION!!!!

General mechanics question so any lurker can answer. I've never learned how to tell how much trade someone else is getting from me. In info I can see how much I'm getting from other people, but what about how much they are getting from me? Reason being GKC just unfogged routes to me this turn. With 4 islands I'm actually worth a descent chunk to anyone on my continent, but if he also is getting trade from elsewhere than it doesn't matter. The info about what Mongolia is going to do and when is obviously important, but just trying to gauge and learn.

Ramk invasion to make Mjmd whip units continues. I'm now up to 4th in world power. I'm fascinated which city he will attack. He moved to the plains north of pig, which was the obvious spot to keep me guessing. His secondary stack got a spear from somewhere, which made me sad. He did take his available promos, 2 axes on combat I. That's it...... That means no city raider axes, meaning his chances of razing a city are real bad, but again I'm aware this is just injure person who razed a new city but even though hes imperialistic and could easily rebuild decided to throw game to slow that person down. Sigh / shrug.

Charriu declared vs Lazteuq. Power has not done a lot so I think it isn't serious. He actually played after me last turn and I had to decide what Old Billy Reily was doing so opted for a 2 pop whip on a spear. Hesitantly overflowing into a lighthouse this turn. I can always 1 pop whip the axe in queue. That southern island is super isolated, so will do much to ease my mind.

T87 - Bueller? I know we don't have a lot of lurkers but someone please! I just got graphs on GKC this turn. Still don't see any Keshiks. He has 9 cities, so unless Lazteuq is doing better he is main competition.

Ramk moved main stack to hill west of pigs as I suspected he might, but secondary stack went NE of pigs, meaning it can only hit Donkey. Ramk is going blind at this point, but he should know where Donkey is based on culture. Him moving on hill west of pigs meant I had to decide how to split units this turn and I definitely favored Whiskey a smidge since it is more isolated, even though secondary stack isn't threatening. Will see if it comes back to bite me.

BTW 3rd in soldiers banghead . Means not a lot of other people being slowed down.

I don’t believe that information is directly available, though I could be wrong. You can definitely see how much trade route commerce you’re getting from a player, but not sure about vice versa.

I was going to take the most perfect screenshot ever showing demos and the entire war situation, plus GKC settler about to settle, BUT this is evidently one of those days Mjmd's computer just doesn't want to. I'm not restarting because I have too many refrigerator research related things open so blah.

Probably a good thing I can't show demos those because I'm down to 7th in food and others are meh. I have 4 size 2 cities and a size 1 though sooooo here is hoping.

So Import / export is at 12 this turn. Once GKC settles I will have an idea if it actually matters. My routes keep going to my farthest away known person (I met and got open borders with AT and this turn established trade and most of my routes switched). I just have to remember to check it next turn before I settle my newest city (will 100% forget). Obviously knowing what GKC is up to is important as not a single city east of Donkey has a unit!!!! So may keep anyways. GKC did just delcare war on Lazteuq. Power hasn't been going up that much so maybe just opportunity because Charriu also engaged. Charriu power has been flat though.

In world news since neither is reporting much Civac just declared on AT.

Oh right I have a war going on. Ramks main stack stayed put 1W of pig. 2nd stack went on pig. Basically he can combine them now to threaten either city. Main thing actually occurred up at Barrets. He unloaded 1 axe and 2 chariots. I can see another axe about to be loaded. Problem is he let up the blockade to pick up that axe (other galley he evidently wanted at full health). I had built a warrior there which I now have upgraded to a spear, so basically he has an axe there now jive with another about to be loaded. So ya he made a mistake there. I also made one though when I had built the warrior I had actually both chopped and whipped it out because I didn't know if it would finish as a warrior or spear. That turn he had kept blockade up so it finished as a warrior. I overflowed into granary instead of a galley. I would be about to whip the galley if I had decided otherwise.

Edit: charriu is about to settle south of the wine island down there maybe?

Edit x2: I'm very confused, he only has 5 cities. Is there no where better or he just see my cities undefended and thinks somehow he can get a galley out fast?

T89 - my computer continues to  hate me.

Founded the island outside capital. Delayed 2 turns due to war. He razed pig and both stacks moved SW (main stack on forest going towards capital and 2nd stack now NW of Donkey. If I had 1 more axe or certainly 2 I would have sallied out from Donkey, but he could move main stack back I would likely lose Donkey, plus I didn't have quite enough hitters. Had to upgrade a warrior to a spear in capital. This war has been expensive and has slowed me down. So I guess mission accomplished from him. He did pick up his units on northern fur as he realized it wasn't going anywhere with the upgraded spear there. With him moving towards capital Whiskey garrison was able to move out.

Charriu did settle south of wine island.

GKC settled and my imports / exports went down. I therefore closed borders and trapped my scout not where I thought he would go (thought he would end up on coast so I could watch for galleys).

I had a top 5 empire. Ramk has made me whip myself into #1 soldier, has pillaged resources, use gold to upgrade warriors, and overall made me do a lot of inefficient things. I think I have him trapped finally. Left capital lightly defended last turn (just 2axes, 1 spear, 1 chariot that he could see) with 4 axes in range. Ramk finally got out of the middle and committed to a direction which is now letting me converge my various stacks. I also had a cool galley chain ready in case he went back towards Whiskey as he had cut all my roads and still has units on those galleys. Does mean he will get to pillage my clams at Barrets. He has a 3rd galley coming as well to match my 3rd galley from all the way south.

I sent him a peace treaty. The best spot he can end up is on the forested hill in 2 turns (assuming he goes to corn to pillage first). I would have to just leave that there until cats I think. Or he can end up on the grassland hill next to Donkey (I would accept that). He can make part of my stack hit him across a river but I'll still get a lot of hits in on flat that way; enough to take out a descent chunk of his axes before I have to start gong across the river.
