New Pitboss?

Is there any interest in a new Pitboss? I very much like the PB 43 mod (rtr 4.0.8.5). The settings that were used in PB 43 would be fine:

AI Diplo with real trade offers only with fish/fish and copper/copper style deals allowed. Toroidal wrap and a balanced map but not mirrored. Give everyone a chance to win at t0 and leave the rest to the map maker. Random rolls of leaders and civs.

I think we played without Agg/Pro in PB 43. As this is a balance mod I don`t mind Agg and Pro being in the mix. Thoughts?

I'd be interested in another Pitboss. Not so sure about using that mod version, mainly because I can't remember what it had, and I can't even find it anymore on the forums. I'm also not sure where RtR even is anymore, since I don't think there's been any work on it for a while. Are you not interested in using CtH?

It`s good to see interest in another Pitboss. I understand that CtH is the popular choice these days, not least to accomodate new players.

I`ve never played CtH and still prefer a more balanced mod. If there is a majority for CtH I`d need to think about my participation.

I dont mind RTR as i really REALLY enjoyed workshops being an actual potentially good choice to build before the late game.. I dislike CTH continuing the cottage<everything for most of the game.

However, I also wouldnt mind another CTH game with similar map details as pb43. ALTHOUGH, id really rather avoid what happened last time and let the option AI-Diplo be enabled (where you can actually send War for War/stop trading ect offers.

If you want to play RtR then I recommend the newest 5.x version. We reverted a lot of changes and it should be a lot closer to PB43. It also includes every new BUG feature and all new things from PBSpy

Interesting. What are the major changes to rtr 5.x?

@Superdeath: I'm in favour of a limited AI diplomacy but may be talked into something along those lines. Maybe.

Did you like losing to Cairo when Wetbandit and I were trying to convince you to join the war?

Having very VERY solid "hey, WAR for WAR with X resources showing where" is one of the best things. Its less than full diplo which can bring hurt feelings, but more than relying on interpretation. I enjoy it.

I can write down the differences, when I am back home

Well, I'm sure the lurkers had a good time. Part of the fun of a turn based FFA with limited diplo is that it's hard to get into other player's heads.

Let's see if we can get a few more players to sign up.
