Ringaudas, Interregnum
This game seems to have a sense of humor.
Emperor Ringaudas is 26 years old. Under his name are shown the 3 Personality Traits, his Education Trait, a Commander Trait, a Fame Trait, and a Health Trait. In order of appearance these are:
That last one is obviously the biggest hurdle for Ringaudas. He likely will have a short life, produce no heirs, be unliked, and it will be harder to use the cheesy "execute everybody in the prison" strat to keep the vassals in line with fear.
His vassal situation is actually not terrible:
I've already done a few things to make people happier. King Tovtivilas is my Steward; King Kesgaila my Spymaster (yikes), Queen Guadimantes my Chancellor, and Duke Mindaugas my Marshal. The County of Walcz was Vingoldas' direct control but was inherited by his second son Prince Butigeidis, and I transfered the Prince to King Tovtivilas since that was de jure Pomerania.
We've lost all the de jure lands within the Duchy of Lithaunia. Worse, we have lost control of the holy site at Braslau and the Hall of Heroes special building located there. Vingoldas had a lot of children, and each of them now controls a county. Ringaudas is only left with the capital, Kernave.

In the rest of the world, there are 3 spots that deserve closer attention. I almost added India in too, but the only thing that seems to have changed there is that Paramara lost the Himalayan Kingdom when the Rajkumari Kalayendevi was forced to abdicate in 1143.
Side note: I really love that every Title has it's own history recorded in game, so you can go back and piece together how these things happened.
To our east a Ukonusko kingdom arises! Queen Daria expanded her High Chiefdom of Vologda and in 1135 created the Kingdom of Bjarmaland and expanded south into the lands that are de jure to the Kingdom of Vladimir. Her main rival is to the north where the Duchy of Biarmia has expanded. But nobody in the region comes close to her army count of nearly 6,700. The next strongest is actually Novgorod, who currently yields 3,000 men. We might have some Vidilism-Ukonusko wars in our future!
Up north the Sami tribes have all splintered and are divided. Sweden could possibly get its act together and expand here.
England is continuing to undergo massive changes as Queen Ecgwyn (our ex-wife!), continues her slow expansion. With her father and mother both attempting and failing at taking the island outright in one big war, Ecgwyn has gone for a slower more conservative approach that appears to be paying off. She has expanded, taking territories in Hwicce while Norway has only continued to see local lords fall out of their control. The Petty Kingdoms of Jarnamoda, Lancaster, Sudrland, and Katanes have all broken away. Alba has not been immune as Inverness has now broken away and become free as well. England could come out on top here if Queen Ecgwyn continues her shrewd conquests.
And it could have been Ringaudas' children's to inherit
Turns out there has been a Crusade! I just expected I would have gotten an announcement in game or otherwise noticed it, but I suppose not. The Byzantines had already been beating on the Fatamids and the Seljuks look to be weakened due to internal divisions (Sultan al-Muazzam Tugrul II Tugruloglu is actually about to lose another war to lower Crown Authority within his lands). And so the Kingdom of Jerusalem has been around for the last 10 years. With relatively weaker Isma'ili and Ash'ari states to their east, I wonder if we will see an expansion for the Crusader states?

And finally, because I've been asked already, when Ringaudas does eventually die, unless some miracle happens that he produces his own heir the crown will most likely be passed down to his oldest half-brother, Prince Butigeidis. Butigeidis was the brother who inherited Walcz and is now a vassal under King Tovtivilas. He's actually a really nice looking character.
