[59] Miguelito and Rusten move stacks to berimbau rythms

We need to get an idea of our Guilds eta, I suspect it's < 10 turns. I summed 3285 raw beakers that are still needed, not taking into account what we already have in Monarchy (possibly ~ 200).
I can't enter right now, so I don't know our break even bpt, and anyway it's difficult to estimate over the end of the GA.

My first question in that regard is, do we still have 6 turns to build the market in Marinheiro before the barracks / HA prebuild? I suspect no. I'm also not sure if we get the forges in the north done in time, and Canoa needs a barracks as well, but I also really want a trireme, better more.

So despite #1 in hammers (in GA) I am worrying that our research is sprinting away from our production.

I'll log off now, and taking the market off queue. You can put it back in if you see fit, but I think we want units. Maybe we have time to fit in HBR before end of GA too for HAs.

edit: ~370 sustainable beakers rn, but that will grow a fair bit over the next couple of turns.

It couldn't sustain current pace for all of the GA and we want to run the most scientists for our 2 pacifism turns (in addition to GA boost). I believe we're on the same page about getting the 1st GS from Paranaue. We're also running 100% science this turn so we get some use out of the library.

I was a little 'meh' on the Marinheiro market, but I suppose the happiness isn't bad there as an extra incentive so I kept it.

yes that's good.
No proper report tonight, but we met Cornflakes and gave him OB.
He arrived in the SW with a galley, is Pericles of NA, has HG and GW (curious choice, GPP?), and judging from resources isn't doing too badly, as expected.
Also GKC came with a WB through Mjmd. And Mjmd redeclared on Ramk.

And I'll cancel the market in Marinheiro as per my last post smile

But I will add that beakers spiriting away from our production is not a big issue this game. Our biggest boost comes from drafting. We're not "turning off" research at guilds like in the previous game, there is more to get.

Yes, I'm pretty sure we will. Any stables? Maybe in Viola/Marinheiro/(Lavandeira?). But with Vassalage XP they don't seem very good.

I think we skip stables.

Maybe we need to talk about this in more depth at some point. I guess we need to whip out a knight horde that can overwhelm Dono fast, right? So that will be a number of whips. Yes it will not hit our economy as hard as last time, and we will not whip the islands very hard, but I expect our research to make a significant dip, or do you have other plans?

Wait no that doesn't work. When we revolt into pacifism we also have to drop caste,  and we'll be down to the 2 library slots. So back to supporting max scientists I guess,  at least from next turn on (doubt I'll log in again).

Right.

So this look nice.
Still second guessing if I would have preferred Maré with more coast tiles, but we would not have had it during this first GA, and Maré is the better temporary specialist city.
Marinheiro is not that far away from stalling - 2 more pop for copper mine and horse, and then grow onto the mines very slowly. We could in fact farm the two grasslands to the south with  CS, although those are prospective capital cottages - but maybe leave that until emancipation?

Rusten logged in before me and correctly selected HBR. We still manage alphabet and feudalism in the 3 turns remaining afterwards. Btw, so far we've been pretty good at masking our GNP in the graphs, by one turning all the techs without a follow up. The graph has not exceeded 380 or so, including during the GA, while Demos are showing 619 this turn.
