Voting link / explanation below. First if you know anyone who you think wants to play tell them to join! I've penciled in some ded lurkrers as well at the end. Amica I think you said you were fine covering for Joshy?
Below is link to google doc. You all have to live with the format I've developed.

Some commentary / explanation on categories:
-
Mod - I'm going to default this to CtH mod. Its meant to be a noob friendly mod that stays close to Beyond the Sword. Basically it should be like reading patch notes. Questions feel free to ask. This should be a great game to test its readability. The other options would be either base (with mod to make pitboss work) or RtR, which is often viewed as civ 4.5. CtH also has become the more played mod version here at Realms.
-
Map Type - Usually the mapmaker just does whatever they want so we start off with an almost useless vote category! Still might influence a smidge.
-
Map Size - this is one where if you've played a lot of games or lurked a lot of games you have more of an idea. With 7 players we are probably looking at a 'standard' size map if you are going by actual civ map sizes, but how much land tiles is what vote is for. Usually roughly averaged. As I stated probably about 120 (medium in my mind) - to 150 tiles (large in my mind) would be the best range for a greens game. Feel free to just put general descriptor.
-
Pick method - Charriu has a whole bunch here:
https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/show...p?tid=9588 . PB53 I think we also just did a large pool assign instead of pure random. Snake is definitely the most popular for this size of game, but feel free to vote for whatever.
-
Barbs - you can choose no. Yes, but no ships. yes, but no cities. yes, but no ships or cities. For a larger map I would recommend they be on, but just a recommendation. Screw barb ships forever though, great mod addition to disable.
-
Difficulty - About the lowest we go on Realms is Monarch. Most games are played on monarch or emperor, but feel free to vote for whatever.
-
AiDiplo vs True AI Diplo - AiDiplo has a very limited set of interaction. True AI Diplo is exactly what you see in a single player game and gives more options. True IA Diplo is the usual. You could also vote full diplo, but that is usually its own pitboss type these days.
-
War warriness - yes / no
-
Spies - yes / no - note missions are disabled. Note they will still be build-able, so make sure to remember to note build them if voted no.
-
Map trading - yes / no
-
No score mod - Basically PBSPY, which we use for turn notifications / pitboss management, normally gives you a lot of information that technically is calculable with score on, such as points for cities founded/lost, techs, wonders, ect. The most important in my opinion is the pop points. The reason being if people are whipping a bunch everyone can see. This is a disadvantage to an attacker as possible defenders have more notice. As a lot of you haven't played a game on Realms, feel free to ask questions about this one if you have. When I was a green playing with pbspy score on added a lot of questions.
-
City count tied to espionage - this is only if you vote for no score mod to be on. Basically if yes you need demo visibility via espionage to know how many cities enemies have (vs being able to look in trade screen in a normal game for number).
-
The usual? - Basically these are things we generally don't allow / have on. More of an fyi category. Once in a great while people vote for events to be on, and then for odd reasons no one votes for events for a while.....
-Ded lurker sign up at the end. I'll post another thread specifically requesting from community / send a group PM to some people.
Edit: SD - feel free to pick a victim - I mean um someone to ded lurk.
