Also note that America has different UU/UB and is less stupid to take.
America is still part of that "later era" chunk of civs. Along with England/Germany/Russia. RTR had a nice UB for America that i wouldnt mind seeing again...

I did notice that workboats are buildable without fishing (great change btw Charriu), didn't realise that America was updated, now much much better but still looks meh.
The workout without fishing reminder did prompt me to do a little simming to see if fishing actually matters, and I don't think it does (under my opening guess of going WB -> WB -> worker), since we can build both work boats and start the worker at size 3, turn 16 (regardless if we start with fishing or not).
This opens up something like an initial research path of fishing -> BW -> agri -> something else
In terms of new potential civs (e.g. mining/not-fishing) , it doesn't open up too many though (at least those that are imo better than our original Carthage/Rome conundrum), but it makes Khmer (and India..? even the nerfed fast workers seem very strong) now possibly pickable.
Khmer back on the menu?

Threw in my Khmer vote in now, simply because I'm gonna be fairly busy tomorrow (and the weekend tbh) and I'd rather not forget.
Be interesting to see what we can get Leader-wise on the way back

Plenty of good/decent leaders to choose from on the way back. I made the bad decision to go leader first hoping/believing that my civ would be available.. and yeah, both that fit my start were taken on the way back. So im firmly Civ >leader

Last leader to pick and we can get IMP/ORG, excellent. Second choice leader on the very back end of the snake pick sounds pretty damn good to me.
some analysis will come later today, the snake picking is almost done/.

We need more comments! We are losing the thread war.
They shall regret beating us in posts. Little by Little.
