Fish/fish = peace isnt a rule. Just a general "hey this is what this means, but nothing is binding"
For example.. Ive sent Fish/Fish messages to someone and then attacked them soon after. /pats JoshyBravo

I would say it depends on the player. Some people are a lot more careful with their fish/fish (or similar deals) than others, there's a whole spectrum really. Some people won't make them at all, preferring to keep their options open. If you can be bothered, reading past games will often give you a decent idea for a given player.

I usually assume fish/fish is at least 10 turns.
Any war resource (copper, iron, horse) for the same usually along with declare war on whomever is a suggestion or acceptance of alliance.
Once currency comes online you can add amounts ect.
You can also try to do more complicated messages like in PB56 where I sent Vanrober a message using resource symbols basically saying don't chop my forest or it will be war.

... I would like an elaboration on how you portrayed that just via the diplo screen, because that's amazing.

Look at pb43 if you want to see "trying hard on diplo and none understanding"
(JR4 not getting the hints that Mr.Cairo was about to win and needed to be stopped.. multiple AI-Diplo messages related to resources on his border WITH cairo... Ignored.)

Basically I used the resources the city had around it as part of the message. Which you can also try using to say to an ally "attack here" or "you get this city and I get this one". Zero guarantee people understand. Mind you the more complicated the message the easier it is to be misunderstood which is also hilarious (mainly in hindsight).

Hi Charlie,
this game already started, so you would have to wait until another does. Look out for new PB threads in the 'Civilization General Discussion' section of the forum. I'm pretty sure another one will start in 1-2 month, but it may not be a dedicated green game like this one. You then just write there that you want to join the game.

I would like to add that eventhough this game already started you might want to follow it. there is 2 options, you can read all the threads to get a global idea about the game (becoming a global lurker) or you could ask someone that already is playing to see his thoughts and dedicate exclusively to that thread, becoming a dedlurker.
In any of this cases make sure to see the rules of the forum so you dont make any mistakes. Anything you want here we are, im glad to have you around!
