Also, as civac says, try to avoid chopping tundra forests whenever possible, lumbermills (or possibly windmills) are by far the best use of those tiles.
Edit: Overflow math is almost right; it will get divided by 1.5 (OR+forge), which is why overflowing forges is best avoided. Probably worth it in this case though.
Yes, overflow will be divided by 1.5.
It doesn't follow that overflowing forges should be avoided. The overflow gets divided by 1.5 but then you get the 1.5 multiplier back when constructing another building afterwards. The upshot is that all hammers incurred pre-forge including chops/whips do not get the forge bonus. But that's rather obvious. It's better for example to chop or work high hammer tiles if you are switching food/hammers around after the forge is done. But that's also obvious and not an issue with overflow specifically.
As for Poppy, in the short term employing specialists there is certainly reasonable. When you have the techs/civics to improve them wind mills, water mills, work shops and lumber mills are better. Even a REP specialist is only 0/0/6 tile without the GPP which is like a desert river incense or something. Do not rely on specialists too much. They hurt your growth and thus late game output. A heavy specialist economy needs to use its early advantage (from REP and GP) to end the game or at least get more land than cottaged up competitors as I understand it.

Thanks for all your words. Ill make mills on Poppy then, you have convinced me.
Then i just crewed up my micro on Violet, i should have asked that micro some turns before, because if i divided for 1.5 then i get just 117h+60h its just 177h, then 32h per turn means ill need 3 more turns. What a mistake.
Either way Colossus will be mine i think. Since all the contenders are researching other things

Luckyly (or bugged) i did right the micro, it seems its not divided by 1.5 the overflow of the forge, which is just prettier for me hehehehe. Got it on 3 turns as thought.
Bellarch got HG, annoying, he is getting huge, and thats not nice, i hope he lacks some economy witht he extortions of TR. Somehow jesse got TGW, which i mean, i think makes no sense when you are trying to get Rome in a war. Just really.
On the good news, somehow Rome was 1 turn to make construction and somehow this turn is again 1 turn far from it, so i hope this slow their capture a bit, which is nice. Talking about rome, i think making this cities, that are their farthest so far from their other cities are costing them too much to defend and also too much upkeep, i think making them at least 1 north it would have been better for our relationship and also would help them not to bankrupcy and defend them easier. I even think 2 north would be more optimal
Iron is on Orchid, on the plainshill which makes the city a bit more productive, im making a worker on Lily to work it asap (faster to make a worker than bring other workers to this spot) would it change my vision of Moai? Probably not, with just 5 hpt it would take ages to get moai. So ill make it on Daisy, i didnt think about it yet but getting the colossus will make that city shine so bright with it and moai.
Demos looks awesome still, im second on gnp at 0%, but ofc i have tons of culture and Eps, and also with 1 pre and 3 ktb, but still looks fine, in a couple of turns ill whip almost every city which will be massive.
Now im wondering whether feud or machinery after currency, feud gets monarchy and unlocks wine. Also longbows are cheap and effective. Getting machinery will get me mills and xbows that are the best counter of praets, but i think we are besties since amica emptied the bananacity trusting on the fish fish. Not sure which option is best. Im leaning towards feud since im lacking workers and mills would take tons of worker turns, also i have no lumbermills so the coin of those is not important. And longbows being cheaper and getting vasallage i think it will pay itself. So the plan is currency monarchy feud machinery guilds. Maybe construction somewhere on between

Crazy stuff going on. Rekenner just lost all his stack. not sure how, i guess he tried to atack and lost everything. I kept sending diplo to bing, not sure if he is getting it since i didnt get anything back. But then i saw Jack is getting HBR and im afraid he wants to whip Bing, so i sent him a warning with ivory and horses and war on jack. I hope he understands. Jack has construction already so with HBR means phants and cats, the superdeath tipical army.
On the rome empire i have a chariot scouting, and saw the stack of Jesse it has several axes chariots and arches. I think it will be whiped soon with a couple of cats and praets. And if thats all he has he is done.
3 cities whiped down this turn and next turn a couple more. Im now 2 and 3rd on demos. Sad, but once i have more land it will look nicer i hope.
2 turns for colossus, after it i was thinking on some HA but i think it will be fine if he has no stack, so instead im thinking on making settlers on that city pretty fast, its pop is good enough so no real need to keep growing that city.
I whiped the capitol for another HA after that one im not sure if another one witht he OF or if it would be better to get a forge and some more infrastructure done.

87/1.5 = 58 exactly as Tarkeel and I predicted.

Totally right, as i guess you saw, i was wrong on the hammers of the chop, i thought they were 24 and they are 30, which is the difference of hammers i had between dividing 1.5 and 1.25 more or less. And thats why my micro finally worked out. :/

Turn 106
Atacking probably in 2 turns to rekenner, i have 2.5 times his power and it seems bing its going for him even though im telling him ivory jack, its sad. I think he will be on a 2 front war too soon.
In a couple of turns i wont whip anymore and start growing a bit more, since i feel i could fell too much. Ill try to get some more settlers and workers to keep the expansion then whip all the infrastructor
In the power graph there is the shut down power of rekenner, and eventhough the pop i whiped i still am pretty close to the rest.
Next turn i get colossus, which means i get 16 more gold per turn. Which will boost my eco a lot. Hopefully will pay my next expansion plan.
Bellarch is the main threat he has 13 cities now and grew them with HG, he will get calendar EOT.
Amica decided for getting HBR, and i dont really see why, i think his praets cats are by far the best he can build to take jesse out of the game. I think if i were him i would try to help the economy with some forges. I think metalcasting is much better. Or calendar actually.

A bit dificult to report at that hours of the night, i hope i can now tell everything important.
Amica took gemscity back, and the rest of jesse is about to become. He cannot do anything against amica. He has improved so much his war skills on PB59 and PB60. He spawend 2 GG already so i expect a lot of praets will killing hanger. This turn jesse has a huge decrese of power which means he lost it 2 turns ago, so right now he is almost in rekenner power. I think i wont make it to get some HA for jesse and get any of his cities while going against rekenner. But maybe im wrong, we will see.
Right now the plan is clear, try to get a small army and get some more expansion, im making workers to work rekenners land since he did nothing onthjose beautiful rivers, idk how he played this game, the first 30-40 turns were impressive. I could whip hard and make a real army but im afraid of Bellarch and Jack, they are going full expansion with no war, and they are having really good demos for now, im afraid of making a real army and then falling behind on cost and things like that. But maybe i should.
Bellarch bieng 1h in game and then mjmd another one might be too tryhard i would say. I hope mjmd is not smurfing this game.
Jack is a bit weird, coz he is putting some % into EP to steal my tech vision, which i get its annoying, but is it really worth to waste gold in that when i have passive EP with no gold wasting? Im sure he didnt know he was getting away my tech vision for 1 EP, crazy luck, sadly i didnt expect him to get 30EPs on me on this turn.
On inland news, i got colossus as thought and getting 16gpt for it, which is really nice. I have ready 2 stacks for rekenner, i hope his 5 min turn doesnt allow him to pay enough atention into my land, that sadly he can see. Right now im a bit afraid of waiting to play after him when ive been rushing all turns at night and he has been erratic on the playing window. He has whiped all his cities on turn 106getting axes in all cities hopefully he cannot whip much more soon, but he has granaries so i expect him to whip on another 3 turns or so, i guess he has a lot of whiping anger but idk i guess he could. TFTMars should fall easy, the capitol im not sure if it will.
This are the stacks: I finally 2 whiped marigold to get another HA. So 4 HA in the north and 7 axes and a spear im not sure if moving 1 archer too for defending the city. On Heather ill have 3 HA and a spear axe. On the first wave at least, ill have to decide what to do with the 4 HA that are comign to the party later, i was thinking they going towards jesse but im afraid of rekenner being able to whip enough defenders since his culture is allowing him to get several turns of warning. The one movers of the north will go to the desert hill with some road making of the workers for the moment he lose the city being able to reinforce faster. The 2 movers are going to the oasis, i missplayed thinking i needed the road of the incense when i dont to get there. (in reality i was thinking i could get to the rice with that road, like if they were fast workers or keshiks, i guess my brain was in PB54)
With the Heather stack the plan is getting the HA into the hill and 1 movers on the road plains.
This is the eco right now. As i said, nice boost of colossus. On 2 turns with currency will be crazy better.
Im not sure if giving some more happy to amica in 5sh turns once i get another silver, i would ask 3gpt or something like that, so that he feels better with me and doesnt move his praets towards me after taking jesse. But that silver would be usefull for me if i keep growing tall too, but since i have no real answer of if i should whip or not...
Finally Demos and graphs. I think having whiped the amount of pop ive whiped having this graphs sounds really nice, already 2nd on power, when i didnt whip as much as amica, sounds nice. I mean look at his food graphs once the war started. Still 5 units will be done on the next turn rising this stat too. Hopefully food and prod will rise a bit too. In 10 turns i hope to have feud ,and will whip a bit more units i think having longbows will detour any atack on my so thats my plan.
