[PB61 spoilers] vanrober lonely in a green field

West Point I believe is usually only built if you have a city full of GGs and need it to produce Commando units (26XP without Agg). Otherwise the cost is just too high to justify it.
I definitely would have taken PS and left economy for later,  with all those cuir whips coming up. But maybe you'll be proven right when you roll over their pikes with cavalry.
Feliz día profe smile

MMMM I hate to hear that, my planw ith slavery was whiping defenders for Bings atack. It wasnt really for cuirs. I dont want to whip hard my land since i need eco to get to rifling. But i was unable to make the defense work without slavery i think. Ill try to micro some cuirs whips but i dont think its worth until cav. When i get to cav ill whipo to completely grownd. Unles i get some peace out and i can focus just in one flank. And even in that case it might make sense

Im so excited this turn. Bellarch toooooook peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So now i feel really much more able to survive and even make some kind of wins.

So now the question i need to figure out is if risking the cuirs at 70% odds of winning, but with a lot of risk of being killed afterwards, i need to sim if hitting now with them or wait for nex turn with the power of cats added to it. Also i need to think if asking peace for bing and focusing on josh or if trying a 2 front war for the 10 turns this peace will last.

Now i needa eat some dinner and then ill come back to game. Some pics so you see half of the report

So i ve been wondering which is the best way to play this.

If i put everything in the city ill have around 50 units in the city next turn, although severala  bit wounded and 13 of those are cats. He just have 13 hitters so i really think thats the best way to play it, in case he move to the hill for the extra safety for his stack. If he goes to the copper i cannot reinforce the city, and i "just" have 23 units in Briony. And ill have to hit his stack so its more wounded and probably atackw ith my cuirs and knights to kill his best hitters too, hopefully hitting some of his cats in the way too. I think this case is the one it goes worse for me, acording to my sims. So i really hope he gets worried about my cats and move to the hill.

In this worst case ill really depend with rolls but i think the worst case i 50% i hold the city. which is not really nice.

But im optimistic about the peace of bellarch, im not sure if its a mistake, he will be able to get infra without the threat of a war, and he can make a huge stack for this 10 turns hit harder. Or maybe hit Josh or bing to get easier gains.

For me its good short term, but im unsure long term. It would depend on my gains this 10 turns.

Tons of talking about Bing and the poor josh is just quiet.

He moved his stack into a weird position, like he wants me to know he has it. He put it in my vision in the corn

And also he finished HE in Berlin, which we saw he started some turns ago.

Turn 161

Im sorry for asking the extra time, i thought josh would need more time to play and i wouldnt have been able to play and post this night. Im goign to bed at 23:30 at most. But it seems i could play.

Lets see, Bing retreated again, so i have more free turns to reinforce the cities, i expect him to go towards Concordia again, he has no vision on the city, i moved already several units from the city and if he wants to come back im fine with that. Im drafting muskets all time so my defenses are becoming much more epic than their stack every turn it happens. If bellarch would have been threating concordia i would have lost AP, so since they didnt atack together i defended, and right now i feel much more confident about the game again. belalrch have 20 units ina  stack on his border city, but we have 9 turns more of peace so i will be able to keep making muskets to defend again. I asked for peace since he is retreating, maybe he agrees, if he does ill move everything into josh. He will regret the decision of not going vs bellarch (look at power)

Bing is making MC so i guess he is going for engeneering, much more scary since he will be able to hit from fog, but he still needs 3 tech, so i think im fine, ill have rifles soonish.

I was a bit mean last turn making the screenshots, a bit weird angles you could see, i had a hidden stack of 13 cuirs to hit Josh in that area, i wanted to hit Cologne, since it has another happy for me, but then i saw HE and i felt it would be much more harmfull if i get the city with that, so instead of taking Cologne last turn with all the knights in the corn, i moved all my stack towards Berlin. And this turn Berlin is mine. I can even proabbly hold Berling from his stacks until cats come to reinforce, but my plan is hitting in that moment to his cats, not sure if doable though. Im preparing another stack to hit his banana city, maybe he moves when he see i atacked in jesse land, but when i hit him in his "main" land i hope he freaks out, Bellarch has a chariot over josh land, so i think he wants to see if im getting his cities or not.

He is preparing a sneaky atack in my south coast from his north coast

Tech wise, i forgot about needing Alphabet to get PP, sad. Ill need 5 turns to get Rep Parts from next turn, so actually turn 167 more or less, it will depend on OF and the boost of PP, but 166 or 167 should be done, i think ill need a bit more of getting gold before goign for rifling though. Then ill probably try to get steel right the way without lib, its less beakers and ill be vs 3 people again, so it sounds good to me.

Finally lets see how graphs and demos are doing, several turns i didnt post them.

Not much to say this turn, Josh settled a decent stack andi had to atack with my leftover cuirs. I think i had a bit of bad luck, losing 3 fights at 75% odds, if i would have lost just 2 it would be 100% sure i hold the city i think but now he might reconquer, i have still several cuirs, but its fine, he lost the EH which was the main purpose of the conquest. I took the gold by ocnverting the city, it had so much infra done, so if i can hold it it would be so worth, if he takes back ill lose so much infra. But i had not more forces. If he take it ill take it back the turn after so if he thinks good enought he should retreat i think and hold his last stack.

Next turn ill hit his banana city, not much he can do, i can hit either that or the one on the west. Not sure if conquering the city right the way or if it would be better to push and hold in the hill forking both cities. I think the first option is better. But ill sim it tomorrow.

Bing retreated more his stack puting it in the shade, so i think i wont move more units and ill bring a couple of cuirs more just in case he tries anything. I think i can hold whichever city he goes to.

I ve been thinking and if i get a scientist or a spy ill make an academy in my best researcher city, i just hope i dont get the priest.

Turn 163

I think josh didnt do the best option, at least the one i think it would be best for both of us. Its true i would get sooner another city to get developed, yeah, but he would still have an army.

I lost all my units, sadly didnt won any low odds roll, fair enough i guess, i atacked afterwards and got a bit unlucky in a couple of fights, w 80% odds, one withdrawed a formation cuir vs a C2knight, that was a bit injured. Fairly unlycky, the otherone was a xbow vs a chariot... really unlucky again.

Anyway, got a GG that is making a supermedic for this front, i think ill heal really fast with him and reconquer the city, making him completely armyless, i think retreating his army would have been smarter. The good part for them is that ill lose more time taking this city making more time for bellarch to join. Ill be playing last for the 2 last turns of the peace, to grant a second half. Just mkaing you know.

I moved the army towards the bananacity, and i think ill raze this cities, its too close to bellarch and josh core, i think i would have trouble holding this city long term so i prefere to settle a safe border and punish his production.

So lets talka  bit about the position of the game, this is tech:

Im clearly ahead as we all knew, bellarch is up compas and optics, and im up several tech. Josh is really close to Nat.

Finally Bellarch is getting his 12 turn GA in 5 turns, so he will finish his GA after me, ill have to be carefull with that. Im getting too used to GA so im afraid of counting with this rithm when my GA finish. I really hope that my Cavs make them more prone to surrend, because if they dont i might not win if i dont get the jesses land. I think i need to get this jesse land asap to be able to keep as leader.

Fianlly lets see the power and demos:

As you can see the gap of working slavery instead of serfdom and the lack of hammers have been clearly noticeable. Hopefully in a few turns i have make a huge advantage in that.

Ive overextimated my forces and understimated josh ones. He is defending really well. Im glad at least i took the HE from him but he is keeping that city for a while. Cuirs keep arriving but cats knights are too strong as i said some turns ago. In 7 turns i get rifling and in that moment the tech will just shut down and ill just be at 0% whiping my land to grownd, bellarch is making a big pile again, same with bing that just moved his stack towards Concordia as i thought some turs ago,i should have enough to hit him i think but we will see i guess. This city has castle and several units started getting fortify bonnus so eventhough my stack is smaller and his is bigger i think i can hold.

I need to think about the banana city josh has made a 15 units in that city, so its gonna be hard. I really wish to keep that city but he could just reconquer the turn after im not sure if i can make the atack or i should retreat or what, imn really impressed by him. If i cant break josh when bellarch come it will even be worse. But at least im having fun, which is not minor. I think its still 60-40 for bellarch right now,

Anyway, i need to leave my house now so ill play it this night and ill make a better report by then

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

This is why i overextimated my units and underestimated josh ones... Still a bit lucky for josh, that cat retreating from a cuir, was really unlucky, but i guess i got payed back killing a injured kight with a catapult...

Finally decided to bombard banana city making some time for reinforcements (5 cuirs) also im not making much cats, now i see it as a huge mistake, so losing the little amount of cats and trebs i have in that stack seems really bad to me, so my plan was hitting right the way with units, but im afraid it makes not much sense. Ill use the cats.

Then I had to decide what to do, i could swap civics again, and i decided to get back serfdom. In 5 turns everything will change, slavery and PS and whip to grownd units, really i want to hit him as hard as possible. 5 turns after i think ill have enough unhappines not to be worth keeping whiping, so ill get sefdom again to push hard with production. The problem will be belalrch by those turns, i really dont see a way out right now. So my plan is burning banana city and keep the rest of the stack as defense for bellarch and josh. While i try to keep pushing in the Jesse's area. I think he will rebuild HE but this time closer to his main land so it will be harder to move the units towards jesse's land.

In the jesses land i still have 12 cuirs, but no cats nor longbows or xbows left, his stack is really woiunded but he is putting new pikes in the city, my plan is start forking cities without him noticing, unless he atacks me and expose his stack for me to atack next turn ill try to move back the units hide them from him, and maybe getting the other city since he will have hard times to move all his stack and healing it. Since cats are just 3 moving, while my cuirs move 6 tiles.

This are the forces of Josh. I didnt mentioned anymore but he loaded the galleys and im making a couple of longbows to destroy his plan, also im sitting my triremmes in the only tile he can get to enter in my culture, but maybe he can just unload his units in the land, if thats the case a couple of cuirs will make his knights suffer.

If we see demos and graphs its pretty clear my lead, but again, my army is divided in 3 fronts, and i cant really win in any of the fronts, so even though i have more tech and more production im having trouble to break the stalemate. Although it clearly has been a huge hit for josh power as you can see, since i keep making cuirs, more or less the new ones are more than the ones he is killing, so my power doesnt seem to go down. In 7 turn i have 100% rifling, and since i have 80 beakers more for serfdom i might even get it in 6 turns, depending on OF stuff. Now i get 570gpt at 0% with the rest of the gold of REpPart and some beakers of the specialist i think i might be able to get riflign with just saving 1 turn gold. (in the spoiler there is a screenshot of demos after serfdom)

Also i got another GP, i think another GA is really hard so ill settle a scientist in a city for an academy, that might also speed up rifling.

In the funny facts i thought drafting was 1happy per draft like slavery with whips, but it isnt, so, since im happy capped i have been wondering whether to work Buro or Vasallage instead of NAt, but i think it will become better with drafting rifles.

Bellarch plan is getting gold for steam up his GA with 100% beakers all turns, which is smart, he is free to develop because my neighbours want him as winner instead of them fighting to win. I still think that if josh, with the power he is having would have push into bellarch he would have been able to get several cities and stay in a better spot, right now he is just making time for bellarch to catch up, which wwont make him win anyhow.
