Er, I forgot: The worker which finished the road at Kyalami should probably go 1SE and build a farm for one turn and then from next turn help making cottages south of Silverstone.

I had a look at the turn this morning, before you'd posted here. No visible sign of SD on the border, and his axe is chasing away the scout.
Technically he can't demand the city outside of a peace treaty, but I'm not complaining that he's made it clear where he stands. Zandvoort really is crippling to his western flank, but at the same time it defends our entire central empire, which I don't think he knows anything at all about.
Edit: Charriu, those are codenames for proposed city sites. Makes it easier to talk about them than straight colors (and more fun too).

Turn 63 (1480 BC)
Superdeath did not pour over the border with axes and chariots when the peace expired, so the the worker gang finished the quarry in peace. We even have the luxury of delaying the whip of the walls. He did make his intentions clear though, with a technical illegal request for Zandvoort. I really don't envy his position here, it looks like he only has a small sliver to expand in both north and south. Our scout just ran into an axe after passing SD/nauf around the lake, so we assume that one is lost.
Spa has just whipped out a settler that will go south to DeerCorn (it's the text that's just cut off at the bottom)

Turn 68 (1280 BC)
Somehow our economy is still alive enough to support two more cities, founded in opposite directions of our empire yet so close together:
We're hoping for a small economic boost from making a road connection to Vanrober whom just opened borders with us, we've also built a scout to take a look. Another scout will go around the north edge of Superdeath's territory to keep a watch out for marauding chariots. He's finally made contact with Naufragar and declared war immediately, but we're not letting our guard down.
We're not sure if the next settler will go to SilverCove or if we should save up to get Sailing and a boat to Iceland.
Nürburgring is another classic circuit on the calendar, although the layout has varied with the years. The 20.8 km Nordschleife is perhaps the most famous, although due to the extreme length it's not possible to secure it to modern standards.
The Sochi Autodrom on the other hand is a modern monstrosity shoe-horned between the olympic stadiums.

Naufragar just declared war on us, and there might be a minor timing kerfuffle as I'd played most of our turn, just leaving some units for discussion with civac later today. This was my response in PM:
Tarkeel Wrote:naufragar Wrote:Hi Tarkeel and Civac,
I have declared war on you turn 70. Because of unrelated issues, I can't end my turn until I get lurker feedback on something. I apologize if this causes confusion about log ins. I'll try to finish my turn as soon as I hear back (and can get back to the game).

Which part of the turn do you want? I'm asking because our turn is mostly played, just not ended due to some discussion points.

We still have stuff to do, right? So we have to take second or can't do it unlesswe agree to some exception of the normal rules.
Do you have any idea what this is about? Did we miss something? Only thing I can think of off-hand is SD demanding the declaration as part of a peace deal.

I played most of the turn earlier, but I wanted to discuss the northern axes and whether to declare on SD to move the scout in (I'd prefer not to). I did not see any of Nauf's units anywhere, so either it's chariots from the fog or it something more funky like a SD peace-deal or war-peace to keep us out of it.
I got this reply:
naufragar Wrote:It would be much more convenient for me if I took the second half, but I don't have a right to it. Your call.
Given that all of our military is unmoved still I think it wouold be best for Nauf to go first. If he goes last we can re-position knowing that he's declared.

I want to move our units this turn. It would be absurd if we don't get the option. Otherwise both first and second have advantages but second is probably better. It's also cleaner. First part would specifically have the advantage that we get a defensive double move.
So yeah second part seems more in spirit with RB rules.
Edit: War-peace makes no sense. He isn't even a neighbour.

I'll let him know that we feel it would be fairest for all if he took the first half of the turn.

Enjoying the pictures of the tracks, even if they mean nothing to me. I can't say I ever got the appeal of racing.
