So it finnally appeared the stack of knights, killing a huge mount of injured cav and razing Bings capitol. Then he also sent several rifles to help defending Bing. I didnt expect this at all.

Its fine i guess, Now i should be able to push into his mainland probably. ITs fine if i dont, like i have over 800 production while Bellarch has 300. I still can swap into slavery and whip a bast amount of units with PS while he has no real option to make a huge stack faster than i am. Also he has now to defend Bing's land without the profit of having all the land and the production of his cities, so he has to divide even more his stack.

       

Now i think i wont push into bing anymore and will just defend the cities so that he doesnt raze any other and then ill get more gold and more production. He clearly is saving gold for the last GA (more than 4.4k right now), his plan surely is getting chemistry and then nat and MT, so that we are even in tech, although he might try to get railroad?. He will even be able to tech further than me. But i will have another GA in 9 turns if i get lucky enough not to get a GE. Otherwise ill get one some turns after  with a coinflip into a priest so hopefully in 15ish turns in the worst case ill have another 8 turns of GA, while he will get 12 turns...

   

So now that i got military science ill just save gold for my GA. While getting some passive income researching optics for the circunnav bonnus, it should mean something like 50 or 60 gpt, so its not minor i guess. I am also thinking on getting the minarete to get some more income.

In the Josh front i guess you have already the info since he wrote some again but here it is.

   

Crazy defensive stack, so ill just bombard and help with the rest of the troops from Banana city that i ve just conquered this turn.

My plan keep being the same, not letting them get enough units to surprise me, so lets kill units eventhough i lose some, i dont mind, he wont get to any tech important point im sure he ahs more than 10 unhappy faces in several of his cities for whiping anger. In that sense getting the dye has helped me a lot, allowing me to leave some 14-15 pop cities without military units covering them.

Well, i discovered where his cats where. destroying the second stack of cav. Ive lost 40 cav so stupidly in this last turns... I made my win harder, but ohw well he has no longer a cat stack around his core so lets move in.

       

He is still saving a lot of gold and about to launch his GA. I ve been thinking on my GA, and if in 9 turns i get another GE i have to think what to do with them, i ve been thinking that maybe rushing metalurgy in a city or even getting the mining inc.

In case i get the scientist/spy/priest then i ll get surely a priest in lily some turns after and ill get the minarete tech with it. Inc ase i get a GE that priest will be used for the GA.

bellarch has more rifles than i expected. Im thinking what if i start moving my stack towards his core? i just see 2 cats, and as long as he doesnt get cannons it should be pretty safe to do so. So all his defenders are lost in that city and i can start razing core ones.

Bellarch has far more army than i expected, i have been 20 min making sims with vodka and i cannot achieve a win here. So i lost 40 cav for nothing. I guess i went far too deep.

I wont make the same mistake now, so im retreating my last stack out of his borders. The good part of him having that stack out of the city is that he cannot hit me back while retreating.

           

Not sure which is the following plan, i run out of ideas i think. I have been thinking on PB52 and i remember Mjmd saying that banks were far more worth than courthouses in terms of gold, and they are indeed, the problem is the amount of time/hammers i need to spend to get my economy up and running again, so i might need to work some turns in slavery to whip some of this buildings and some cavs to get a defense while improving my land. I cannot let Bellarch to out tech me, and he is about to do so with his GA. Right now he is making 600gpt while im getting 350gpt, surely its caused by banks but if he did put some universities too he might have more techrate than me, if he gets Railroad in his GA ill have a really hard time to break through, and if he keeps out teching me he will be able to go to space. And clearly it would be really frustrating to mess up this possition into a lost. I would feel the worst player of the world.

So im wonderign which tech i want. If i get minarete ill get around 150 gpt which is a big amount. Is that worth 1800 beakers and 550hammers? im not sure of that, so i might push with a priest if i finally do so. then i have to think if railroad or AL. Im ORG so AL makes so much sense, really, the only problem might be health if i build coalplants but that extra amount of hammers would be soooooo big in this war pretty much finishing it. But railroad give me so much movility making me able to change of front fast and being unexpected, also it would give a couple of hammers that would be apreciated, also machineguns will be so important in the defense of cities and stacks. So im unsure which will be my call. Railroad is cheaper but corporation could be a nice call too since the wall street is worth 150gpt at 0% for 600h... well maybe looking it this way, Minarete is much better.

I have been lately just moving cav towards josh since it was there the fight. The improvisation of Bellarch didnt get any reinforcement other than a cannon and a couple of cavs. So i am pretty sure that Dye city is falling next turn it barely have 20% defense bonnus for cats and 9 % for cavs. so i think its fine atacking like that instead of giving them more turns to reinforce it more. I also saw that josh has 4 units where Bellarch has a sentry explorer 3 tiles far of me, so im unable to hit it. ITs not scary for now.

Lets be a bit optimistic and think that the reinforcements of bellarch to defend his city avoided his rifles to help josh.

Next turn im getting forbidden palace in place. SO i hope to also get some extra money, added that to circunnavigation i might get a good boost. Maybe 100gpt. 60 of circunnav and maybe 40 out of forbidden palace? Im unsure, but here its the pic of this turn so we can compare next turn. Btw, 2 of those 4 markets are from Bings land, that survived instead of a granary...

Somehow Bellarch keep impressing me. He is pushing with a bunch of rigles right now. Hopefully i could see the stack he had in the hill last turn because that warned me about his ability to create a real army. I have never forgot that he took all my stacks in Bings land and after he healed he could come, so i had a 23 units stack for defending the city, and some extra cavs are going there i think ill hold 100%. Although i might lose a couple of workers.

       

In josh land i atacked this turn, and lost a bit of units, and all of the remaining are really injured. He is still holding that spot, ill atack again next turn and with the healing promotion i might be able to get the city. But i think i wont yet, im bringing more cannons to the party and ill get it 100%, the thing is the time ill need for that. 

           

I decided to get DR for minarete but im really confident with my possition, this turn Bellarch went to 100% research and he is still unable to get ahead of me at 0% in demos, surely he will get ahead with the GA but i didnt put myself to 100% either yet. I can get Steam engine or whatever is called in 3 turns of 100% without GA, in GA ill get it in 2, so probably ill wait 7 turns for my GA at 0 so that i get DR and then i can spend 8 turns  at 100% to get proabably railroad and AL in the GA. Right now i doubt Bellarch can overstep my tech in any time, im just too ahead of him. Right now he is pushing so the plan is being defensive until i can push. If he doesnt push i still have more land, and im making some settlers to fill spots and having a better defensive area than right now.

Bellarch started his GA and Josh decided to suicide some knights to kill my wounded cavs. That means hes city is done, i barely had enough healed units to kill his stack but now that he lost some i had enough, and the city is mine.

   

Again, i was too worried about the ability of Bellarch in a GA. He barely has 100 more gnp than me without GA... He has no way in getting anything useful. I dont even need to rush the tech, i win this longterm however i do, so i will play chilled. Ive lost 40 cavs for playing too rushed, lets calm down the game.

       

The plan is getting next turn DR, so that i finish sankore and start minarete in the same turn, and then getting steam engine slowly at 0%. Then getting levees, so that the factories are much better. I really see no way on losing this right now.

In the Bings front he retreated selling again the units of Bing, i felt bad killing those again for the lack of care of bellarch. His stacks are here

       

Also look at the difference with the circunnavigation and the Forbiden palace. The big factor of gold has been the gold of units out of the border more than those 2 factors i was believing in.

Nothing interesting happened.

Bellarch is moving some Rifles towards Josh land, and i cant push because i need to heal my units. He is getting cannons in 2 turns and im afraid of losing again my stacks, so i think ill just wait for him to come, if he wants to come, while i get a massive stack. Maybe i can suicide a stack in one front while atacking the other front... idk. But I have more GNP than him while he is on GA. So im fine with slowbuilding my empire. getting to better tech faster than him and hit him with tanks. Sankore helped a lot.

   

Finally i wanted you to see a better situation of the map. Right now there is tons of turns to get into a city of either of us. So its a bit hard to atack, since the other can just push fast his units to defend, and it will be even more if we get to railroad. 


This is an overview of the empire. Right now im building several buildings instead of units since my GA will come and that will be helpful, also if the banks help me getting Wallstreet and the universities getting Oxford. Right now i think Bellarch cannot hurt me, so if i get infra it will be 100% easier to win with a better empire. I dont see how i could hurt him a lot if he gets 20 cannons ready to hit my stack. Maybe if i make smaller stacks it works better but right now, his rifles with little help already destroy my units so thats not an option either.

I finally got the GE with a 30% odds, and i mean, i like it. Now ic an make the mininc. And in a few turns ill get a priest. From lily for the GA.

At 0% this turn almost beating bellarch in GNP (i know i have so much culture and EPs to make that a bit false but still...). Add to this the Minarette and the GA and mininc and imagine the numbers. I have gold for 7 turns of 100% right now, but since i wont be able to launch ga for the GE, ill save a bit more gold and then ill start 100% before the GA the plan is getting railroad and then getting AL. Mininc is rasing a lot the importance of railroad so i have no more doubts.

   

Also look at the stack Josh/Bellarch already got.

   

Also Bing tried a desperate atack with a few pikes. He handled to kill one of my cav at 95% but ohw well. That crappy filler is save. Bellarch "helped" him with a knight xD. In my vision there is no units to kill the wounded cav, i hope im right. otherwise i still ahev my cav stack nearby so it should be much trouble.

   

Also i started to build some workers so that when i get railroad i can start roading fast.
