The lowest neutral EP balance is 42 each (because naturally it is). I may have to post this somewhere highly visible.

I stand corrected.

Hey, so I've been trying the 4pop sim for a while and I haven't been able to find anything better. Maybe some of the iterations are better long-term due to more forests being saved for only 2-3 turns of delay, but with Egypt as our neighbour (we are good for rushing too, since we build granaries quickly, and the terrain is easy) I think speed is EVERYTHING. It was a great idea - just doesn't seem to work out in practice. The good news is that we should have demographics by the time a rush is feasible, and hopefully a warrior in position to scout, which makes a huge difference.

Information is vital. Advanced warning of an incoming rush can make the difference between a futile defense and success.

Finished mining, started bronze working. The worker finishes next turn, so things will start to get more active. Conflakes is still putting all EPs into us. The scout is done scouting, and will go see what Cornflakes is plotting.
More scouting, found seafood.

Another Fish just next to the island is a nice surprise. We won`t be settling that city just yet but that makes growing that city really easy down the line. It looks to me like the strongest site we`ve got is the one E, with Gold in the first ring. Thoughts?

That fish is huge, yeah. That city is really, really good. With Stone, we could seriously think about Moai there (whip overflows to build).
I think I agree about the city site, but with Cornflakes as such a close neighbour I honestly think we're settling copper no matter where it turns out to be. In my disastrous first game I settled my 2nd city on top of copper and still died to war chariots. I played it horribly, but the point is that 2nd city is the one that matters.

Not much to report. Our worker is out and starting to improve our resources, and our scout is en route to watch Cornflakes.

Fair enough, I agree on settling the Copper asap. Hopefully Tarkeel put it in a convenient spot. Surely, it`s got to be E of the Pigs, right?
It`s good to know that Cornflakes hasn`t built any military yet. Also, we`re slightly ahead of him in food for the time being.

Server's up again, so you get another update! Things are starting to move more quickly now. We'll have a warrior next turn (I think that's the power bump Cornflakes has on us), and move on to worker #2 and then a settler.
Doing a bit of micro to finish the warrior and pop 3 at the same time (thank you Amicalola!).
The scout is getting in place to watch Cornflakes. We don't trust them.
