If Bob intended for us to guess STOCK instead of DISEASE, then we would have been clued Deception 5.
Both because there is a weak link between STOCK and Deception, and because by denying us a +1, we would have known that there was something amiss in the guessing order set out in post #156.

On it's own that's LINK + GREEN.

IIRC, GREEN was next after PALM for Baserunner, so that leaves us with just one Sigourney. I think Thrawn was hoping for a chance to set up some signals, but perhaps DaveV has sent a message by _not_ waiting ...

Re-reading our replies suggests the team had MODEL > BOLT (JR4 + Thrawn against my weak preference the other way round). So if we think DaveV jumping in was to avoid us talking ourselves out of that, we should go MODEL.

Three words to go. GREEN is beyond obvious. 

MODEL looks good as Dave didn't leave is time to discuss other options. A Golf is also a MODEL of a German car. And speaking of German, a LINKs player is a left handed Golf player, I believe.
