Oi pin, how do you know Cornflakes just settled a city this turn and not another player?
Btw I make it one player at size 4 capital, 5 at size 3 and 2 at size 2 (SD whipped from 4 to 2 since you played t26) and the second city does not belong to the player with a size 4 capital.

More that I will throw a tantrum because 1) copper in a contested area and 2) being able to settle a strategic and a fantastic luxury resource with the best food tile in the game makes it such a no-brainer that it should never have been allowed.
The same principle goes with our desert gold; they're just objectively worse tiles all around to pair with the copper than wet corn and grass silver.

City count says 2 on the scoreboard. Also, I confirmed this by opening up a trade screen and seeing he has a city named Memphis.

Well yes that is a fair comment and I don't disagree.
I just have no faith in map makers anymore and don't even see the point.
OTOH I don't think we can call a first ring city location contested...

Oh that is new. I like that, thanks for pointing it out to me.

Yeah, I mean more that it is not a "safe" copper. Which is probably more of a matter of opinion, but I like to let people play with at least copper units to defend themselves with (and if they delay hooking that up to chase luxuries or food then its on them for being rushed).
Superdeath probably whipped his worker. Or actually, slow-built the worker at size 4 and then whipped the settler - that seems more likely.

Do we think he went Fishing-Agri-BW? Size 4 with no land food resources is rough...Even with a fish that is only 11fhpt...When did he hit size 4? Checked old turn reports, eot17. Worker eot23, settler whip t26 would put the settler at 39/100 minimum with 26 base overflow.
Yeah, that fits far better.

Honestly i would just play this game ice cold until BW lands and then go spare if warranted. It already is for some things but copper will show just how limited the game is.

Yeah, Copper in a decent location makes the other things palatable.

So here is an awkward question, or two.
Where would be the best and worst locations for copper to spawn, and why?
