I can't reach those ships but I think the setup for me is pretty clear - get close enough so I can hit them next turn if they try to kill your ships but with a defensive enough deploy that my frigates can't be sniped. Ideally there will be a way to form a line w your ships while you kill the privateers (maybe kill 4 in a row and form a line where they used to be located?) so he will have to go around you to hit my ships.

What are their support bonuses like? I admit I am a bit worried that he is going to kill your ships if there are, say, 15 more in the fog.

I am not too sure what we should do about the Russian fleet tbh. Looks like he managed to upgrade 6 destroyer fleets, probably because he is in the discounted upgrade card, which I forgot also applies to resource costs as well. Do you still think we have the critical mass needed to engage?

edit: He only barely scratched your capital though, a far cry from what I expected. Maybe we have more time to possibly push for another edge (eg Fascism) than I thought.

All of those ships except the northern most one is +8, so more ships. When the attack, my destroyers will be 124 +support against 63, 73 against a fleet.

On the bright side, we might be able to kill the Cossack on the campus this turn. That might slow them down a bit?

I think we don't engage this turn bit sail close to the Chinese coast and draw him out of range of Asahi.

Edit: I could have my 1-promoted IFC attack the privateers too. Russia then would probably throw everything at that IFC. If you bring your ships within range for counterattack, we can wipe out whatever is there.

Re China: How much movement do those battleships have, just 8? I think if your BS are sufficiently close to China you should be out of range. I am a bit worried he will sail destroyers up through the western passage between Mitla/Abjad and trap you against the coast. That will be a disaster if you think he has us beat in a one on one fight (and is not too bad otherwise)

Whatever we do, we should positioning our front-line ships to make you unscoutable again IMO. If he catches a glimpse of your main fleet off the Chinese coast he will probably attack and go for the trap.
