Did some sims and surprisingly, worker 1st did turn out a better empire. I thought that WB 1st should be ahead in tech by a lot but not really because settling 2nd city faster and working the gold, which you would have not known from start, narrowed the tech gap considerably. As expected, starting with Agri/TW instead is vastly superior based on starting screenshot.

Tech rate is not that important at turn 40. You do need certain techs to start development but mining the desert gold by turn 40 is dubious. The tile is pretty bad.

If you don’t have AH what do you have the worker do after mining the pig (yuck) and plain hill while waiting for the 1st settler? I strongly disagree with tech since costs in emperor is brutal. After BW you need to get wheel and pottery.

Worker 1st: plain hill mine done on EOT24 and BW on EOT28. Does the worker just do nothing for 3 turns? Need 1 turn to move to a forest.
WB 1st: BW done EOTT26 and pig hill mine done on EOT26. Maybe chopping out settler now is better instead of mining, which now makes it sounds like WB 1st is actually better?

Sometimes, as in the case of pindicator here, I think about if it would be better for his health to take this game away from him by resetting the password. The game isn't as important as someones health.

He did say earlier that he wanted out, but there's been no takers...

This is outlandish. What gives lurkers the right to kick someone out of a game in the name of their own good? Are we psychiatrists? (Of course not, because then we'd know diagnosis occurs in therapy and not through extracting meaning through forum posts.) Pind's mental health is his responsibility, and we act arrogantly if we prescribe treatment for internet strangers based on our own feelings.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

Sorry, I was only concerned for his well-being. I meant no harm.
