Correct. I wanted the surprised factor/speed that a "basically" 2 move holkan would bring. Plus, i figured id churn out quite a few holkans to kill Pindi and secure my land, and having some xp on them is always nice. Another worker wouldnt be needed as im low on tech to do... basically anything i want done, and another settler would put my in a financial ruin once i conquer Pindi's lands anyway. 60? hammers into Stonehenge would be nice, but falls into the same basic scenario of possibly losing the Pindi conflict due to speed. Stonehenge IS on the menu and im planning on getting it probably before i settle another city (providing i capture both of Pindi's cities)
Any other questions?

Started the turn by seeing a settler coming my way.. IS he offering it to me as a worker? Going to panic settle on copper with a hidden warrior? I believe i can handle what he currently has with my holkan + warrior and i have the W2 holkan coming up to either help out or head south to the capital. I have no clue how he is planning on holding this if there even is a way. Teching archery while spamming warriors maybe? Holkans dont fair terribly versus archers due to being immune vs first strikes, but the hill defense of the capitals + creative culture will make it a long fight. Hoping i get plenty of gold from capturing the cities to get me to pottery at least. Once i stabilize i do like my neighbors. I should make it to longbows/other things before Jack can get his zerkers online, and Mjmd is across the way so im not terribly scared atm. Except of Emp costs.
Well, i rolled the turn and no new unit appeared in his copper city. I think i raze the city no matter what atm. Which sucks. But having a ton of open land to settle into is appealing.

Ended up winning with 1.8/4 remaining + promo.
Here's after rolling the turn. I put the scout on the mine "hoping" that it would delay production of a warrior... sadly it did not. Next turn if he settles on the copper ill be taking the city raider promo and checking vodka on if i should just bypass his city and go for the capital... (which im sorta planning on doing) or do something else.
I can threaten to capture the worker or his capital in 2 turns. So that will be fun.. Him spamming warriors or archers will not be fun though.

A nice quick turn as pindi was able to play:
He did indeed settle, and my holkan was able to take it out at 47% odds. Things could have went south... but they didnt. Now... a slow siege will commence.

Nice one! What's the plan with the slow siege? Throw Holkans at the wall? Wait for catapults? Choke him while expanding yourself?

hopefully win holkan vs warrior battles while choking his improvements. Expand till he dies.

Well, a bit anti-climatic.. Pindi sent 3 warriors against one of my holkans and then deleted the workers. For the trouble i got a size 2 city and 90+ gold. Wheel-Agriculture-Pottery-Religion? Is the current tech path.
Ive got a rough dotmap in place and its basically workers/settlers and growing onto cottages. Going to block JackRB from coming any closer, and then expand south/west.
Any questions?

Dang, T46, that has to be a record for fastest elimination in recent memory. It’s a good thing barbs are off with that much unfogged land all around.
EDIT: evidently PB62 was a few turns faster, but still. How does it feel to have pulled this off?

Yeah, barbs would be a biiiiitch.
Depends on how "recent" you look at. I still see GKC getting a stupid easy quick kill on... cant remember who like 13 pb's ago. Pulled a Mortius on him.
