I am sorry to delay the game this much. I had much less time the last few days because my grandmother is about to die and I unexpectedly had my family staying over because I live nearest to her. I spend some time with her in hospital as well.
I thought about getting a sub, because the situation will stay the same for a few more days (presumably), but I would prefer to play my last turns myself. I would understand if the other players would like me to find a sub though. To make the delay even worse I have a question for lurkers in my thread. I will be able to play today or tomorrow in the morning, depending on how fast the question is answered.
First of all I'm very sorry to hear that. All the best wishes to you and your family.
Regarding the game I would prefer if you stay and we just pause the game for the time. I think the game is in an interesting phase, which we rarely see. That's why I would prefer to wait for your return. After all it is absolutely understandable that your head is not with the game right now.

Yeah, please don't rush at all, this is just a civ game at the end of the day. And I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother.
I would also prefer to have a pause than a sub, even if lengthy. This game deserves to be played out with the original players. I loaded Piccadilly's login save but PBSpy isn't showing the usual game has been reload message. If that didn't work, I or one of the admins can try again.
I've reloaded to Miguelito's log off, which is essentially the same. Seems like that worked.
