Going to hold off at least 15t i think.. while i grow tall and start working some tiles lol
im finally not last in population/CY. In 15t or less ill have settled for pindi's gold and 10t or so from there ill have an extra happy face in every city. Bing is being... a butthead and not trading with me or responding to any diplo so i guess im officially the big bad? Im more worried about Cornflakes (frosted flakes are better) running over Cairo or Fabled and becoming unstoppable.

Demos are finally starting to improve!
I think Sailing-writing-head to currency-Code of Laws is my general path right now. Code of laws, providing i get there first.. will give me a religion for my GP that will be popping soonish, and courthouses to reduce this god-awful maintenance.

So i logged in to play my double turn... and well:
That has to be the most obnoxious city location i have seen in a long time. Doubly so by the fact that this is the 2nd!!! source of horse he is claiming of mine. He now has access to 3 sources of horse (if he ever popped borders... his 3rd city claimed "my" horses near my capital and still hasnt popped borders) I literally am trying to fathom some kind of scenario where this was a good plant. 1W or 1NW would be the superior plant imo, and doesnt antagonize a warlike neighbor.
He founded 3! cities this turn. (before i rolled)
THIS IS HIS GNP.
To say that i will have an easy snack in 40-50t is an understatement.
Rough tech plan. Get to currency ASAP so i dont die to others/live thru the EMP costs.. then a good old mass HA swarm from my many many MANY good production cities.
Demos will look better in a turn or two as i messed with some tile configurations to get better settler timings.
Questions? Comments? Blood for the Blood Gods?

here is A overview shot of the empire. i should be at 8-10 cities by t95. Which is going to be behind these other folks, but i should have a nice tech advantage especially vs JackRB. I will have all 3 metals by then, and will be going for the Hanging Gardens after i get currency. Using the extra pop to whip my swarm of HA's and go and liberate the viking savages of their land and resources.

I too find it frustrating when the map makes it easy for your neighbors to claim/contest your strategic resources.

imo, Yes for the most part.
1. I took out the most skilled player(s) in the game that also happened to border me.
2. I have access to 2/3 of the metal happy resources and plenty of great land to settle.
3. I have not been really punished thus far (at least by the other players) for basically doubling my land area.
The "most part" refers to:
1. Maintenance costs. I was crippled for awhile because i had kept pindi/krills capital city so far away from my own. It required that i either build a monument or build Stonehenge to get ANYTHING out of the city.
2. JackRB has managed to grab a city that should it pop borders, will steal my ONLY source of horse. If it does before i can establish a city to just dominate the horse tile culturally... ill probably slam 10 axes into that city and pm him a bunch of GIFS/Memes. ... i dont want it to come to that. Had i not raided pindi/krill and just done my own thing, that city would have been burnt to the ground already. What he is thinking planting these cities that leave me NO choice but to go to war...

My next 5 cities.
Fairly simple. Fishing/cottage village, and MY horse city..
This one im a bit more hesitant to plant, as it will be a slow grower. MIGHT move it to the floodplains to the far southwest, havent decided quite yet..
Speaking of the south, my two planned cities are the cow/sheep commerce and then production city. (commerce till the floodplains and Mt.Silver city can handle its cottages and the city to its east takes its gold) Pindi's old 2nd city location will probably eventually run windmills? Idk. Once its borders pop it will be an okay city for awhile, and will be able to pay for itself with the gold tile.
Kinda starting to lean towards settling the floodplains and sharing the cow instead of that cow city in the other screenshot.. Back to the drawing board i guess.
Also... I guess i forgot to include any pokemon meme's for this thread.
