At least MrLlamaSC also does a lot of variant content on his streams - no skill runs, a Bradley Ultimate D2 Guide Assassin run, a pirate run (can only use items from chests), etc. Yes, of course he also has ridiculous GG items and builds, but if you're spending so much time playing and streaming one single game, I can understand that he explores all sides of the game and think it a bit unfair to hold sometimes using editors and buying items against him. In fact I like his versatility and that he's not only single-mindedly focused on one side of the game.
DBrunski on the other hand...
I don't know much about these youtubers to be honest. I have not much interest in what they do. If I come across their vids I am usually just listening to a bit of background noise while I am doing stuff. I don't even know who was talking about what, most of the time. For example, I only knew he did a Barb Merc Solo thing because you mentioned it. And I skipped to the equipment section, watch for the minute it took, and stopped, moved on.
I don't hold "that" against them, nor endorse them. As long as they are transparent about what they do, and given that their livelihood depends on just creating content for the mainstream, there is bound to be a lot of noise vs signal, I understand. The problem I have is with Bliz (or whoever the fuc owns the whole conglomerate these days) because they are endorsing people who are doing things against their EULA. But maybe that had changed too, all for the money.

First D2R2.4 Uber Diablo Event
This happened during one of the Forge runs while McTyraelGal was rushing a mule. It caught me by surprise because I was only half concentrated on the game. I would have picked this to spawn Uber D. Turned out this is absolutely a good place to spawn the Clone. Lots of corner to hide for a break. The entire altar is an endless corner. If you teleport to the center you can also avoid most of the spell effects from Diablo too. You also have a quick exit with safe TP via the stairs.
McTyraelGal was immune to the Clones Fire and Light But she could barely do enough damage to the Clone even after she Static'd him to half health. So I switched out the mule and brought in ImmortalAli. Physical Damage does better than elemental but it would still take forever it seems. I went and have dinner
That was going to be painfully slow going and Ali was on the laptop which I find hard to play, plus the mouse decided to ran out of battery GRRR. Abd now I have to find the Woestave on a third acc. Finally after some tricky switches, I got the right toons on the right computer, and a Woestave on the Ali's merc. The plan was to have Ali go in and have the merc stab DC a couple of times, then McTyraelGal goes in to Static DC to half life and let Ali finish the job. It worked
It's only a 13, 16, 9 but I am not complaining.

Nice surprise. Congrats for making it work despite all the inconveniences!

Thanks!
It's just that McTyraelGal was never built for brute force like lvl 50 Blizzard with Infinity Merc or whatever. I like her zippyness with good utility - Frozen Orb, and Hydra (no less). With skill points spread pretty well even between the Fire and Cold tree. You might have noticed I still have 2 Skill points, I am thinking what's the point anymore. Maybe dump it in Static Field to make more cheese. I didn't even bother to switch her out of the Tal set for better gear. She's alright (without thinking too deep) weighing in 500% MF.
I am grateful that they finally unscrewed Hydra, yes more power, but more so it just feels right without the timer, once again.
You would think they can come up with wiser solutions to nerf skills. Don't even get me started on previous Whirlwind fix
Who would guessed Her Hydra and Mana Shield might become the new meta(?)

Unfortunately I play Realms only. I can only blame myself for being such a nub.
For Wisdom, I was thinking 3 sockets Hat and didn't notice it's for diadems only.
For Flickering Flame, I still have not clued in, I kept thinking these are new V2.4 runewords instead of 2.4 LADDER runewords which are not active yet....
Oh well, concentrate on old 1.1 runewords

Well, it says Helm, not "diadems only" for wisdom in patch notes. But they are Ladder-Only yes. (Or single player, if you download the relevant mod.)

V2.4 BattleNet, Hydra, Rush 4 Forge
- Nope, I am not seeing much more traffic after the patch.
- Not seeing people playing in Act 3 more. I am seeing groups get to act 3 and all standing in town and disburse seeing no one is rushing.
- I am seeing rushers quit game at Act 3 too. Most of them are just sick of it. So eventually player base will diminish.

Hydra V.24
McTyrael decided to put the 2 remaining points to bump Fire Mastery to the max, since she is enjoying her hydras very much now. It's okay, there's no shame to use up all skill points...
Hydras in its former glory is fun because it revived the tactical play with this build. Where I would avoid Cold and Fire Immune mods mixed together because Hydra on timer is just not good for a mixed mob. Now, the fun and tactic is back. How you teleport to arrange the mobs, and where you place the hydras can make a huge difference. Otherwise, your hydras are wasted shooting at Fire Immune.

Yeah, my Hydra sorceress had that problem, trouble dealing with packs of mixed immunities because Hydra would shoot at the fire immunes. How does that play out here without the timer - can you cast Hydra faster and accurately to concentrate on the cold immunes instead? That clip doesn't really show it, those monster types aren't fire immune.
