hit single
I kept that as a remnant of it's former UB, but it might as well be deleted.

Gotcha. What if you have a mixed city and want random great people? I can see how it would be useful, but also how it could backfire.
I kind of like maybe a bank replacement for America. Maybe a 10% production increase? American banking system has been a huge driver in its economic productivity.

You mean something like pumping all amounts of GPP into it, but hoping to get the person with the lowest odds?

I'm specifically thinking of a city like my city Rocks from PB60 where I built a whole bunch of wonders there and national epic. My main chance for GAs was to get the right combination of GPs from that 1 city. No other city really was producing GPs. Now did it fail me multiple times, sure. But at least I had a chance each time vs being stuck with only one type.
Now here is another idea. You get to choose the GP type (say as long as its over 10% chance).

Damn you really had wait until now to buff PHI monastery production? *grumbles in spoilers*
About Japan, I like the nudge, it reminds me of the Ziggy discount. AND AS IM WRITING THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA. Wait, what if we moved the Tatara to Iron Working instead of metal casting? Allowing you to unlock swords and the melee forges? Sorta a tech-saving UB like Ziggurats. It might be a little too much, 20 Hammers, 2xp, and IW vs MC, but I don't know.
About America, the idea of selecting a GP feels just off to me. More than a little weird and far from home. If we want to give America a great-people bonus, give them a UB with extra specialist slot(s) for an engineer. Call it "Carnegie Public Library" and it additionally allows you to hire an Engineer. I don't think that'll be good though because it introduces this very linear Pyramids-rush strategy. So maybe it replaces a Forge instead and just gives additional engineer slot(s), though that's 3 forge replacements. Or a Bank replacement that gives 3 engineer slots.
Bablyon change seems pretty nice, brings it along next to the Baray, with the latter being better on low food maps and vice versa. I hadn't remembered it still kept the health
I understood what the Bazaar was trying to do but I still think that +1c per trade route on a building that goes in just a few cities is a bit weak. What if it just straight up got an additional trade route and it only cost 120 hammers? It would give Persia a sort of "alt-courthouse" to build, effective at low slider. I'm not super keen that it glove-fits so tightly with PRO, but then again, Japan does the same with AGG and Ottomans with EXP so *shrug*
Dutch my beloved. I'm contractually obliged to complain about a nerf to my favorite thematic civ. But this seems okay. EIM falls into the category of hypothetically OP, but I can't seem to find a record of it actually being oppressively deployed in a pitboss game, despite many games involving Galleon action.
NA nudge also seems harmless and in the right direction.

I like most of these ideas (perhaps to be expected ). But there are a couple I'm iffy on.
Moving grenadiers to Chemistry is risky. Cannons are already arguably the strongest unit push in the Renaissance, this would push grens/cannons a huge amount. I'm not sure if we want that (if we do, the change is great!). If we don't change Grens, then Reisengarde is also obviously fine.
I don't like the gameplay implications or the 'Far From Home-ness' of the proposed American UB. And I quite like the old one, it's just a bit weak. Perhaps a market or bank replacement? There aren't many of either of those, and it feels thematic with America. One of those which gives either small GPP (better than a harbour, surely?), or which gives 2-3 engineer slots? Or perhaps the current UB could be buffed somehow?
I like the Bazaar change, although changing that to +1 trade route of Ginger's could be a better idea. It definitely wouldn't be too strong, and makes the PRO synergy more interesting. Persia's starting techs are quite weak in CtH, and neither of the Uniques is inspiring, so it definitely could use a boost anyway.

Love everything about this idea.
Agreed market and bank seem like the obvious America UB replacements. Again the obvious issue is being different from England. I like the 10% production for bank idea. I'm unsure what a market replacement should do that wouldn't be too much.
Speaking of markets what about moving the current Persian UB to market instead of grocer. I swear I wasn't thinking of giving UB American market a trade bonus before realizing we already have that.

I suspect that guarantees Japan the Pyramids in every game.
