Thx!
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

SOOOOOOOOOOOO. Quick run-down. Bing makes huge mis?-play and accepts my war declaration for war declaration vs JackRB. Cornflakes jumps in, because of course he does. Cornflakes gets bribed with a city, peaces out. I get bribed with a city, and peace out as i was 10t anyway from WANTING to declare war.... Bing gets bribed a city, and also peaces out. JackRB has lost 3 cities for basically free. He is 1t from Engineering and has begun the "fuck the world, i whip!" phase. Who does he see as the aggressor? If he looks at the diplo screen he would see that i bribed bing ...right? (i know you can see if someone else did on yet another person via one of the diplo screens)

So, im waiting on JackRB to finish engineering to give me that extra boost towards my own research. However, Jack is looking pretty prickly atm. Full of anger id assume. I really want to persuade that anger towards Bing.. Because.

Cornflakes has been "researching" Engineering for several turns now. With no GPT income, despite it showing it taking him 1400+ turns to complete. I think he has flatlined after reaching to grab the GArtist from Music. IMO, damn near the perfect time for a knight blitz. My only real issue is that i cannot guarantee Jack doesnt rightfully stab me in the back. I can probably count on Ginger to at least take some cities off of him, and maybe i can convince Cairo to do SOMETHING? (lol)

Im fairly confident also, because ive only "really" begun my build up and im coasting into 2nd place in power already. Now, i KNOW Cornflakes knows how to defend. He has Boudicca of endless population to whip.. But if he whips, he will definitely be in strike range. I just really need Ginger to accept my Gold for Fur + stop trading with cornflakes deal. He gets a good resource trade, and the stop trading with breaks my same deal with cornflakes. It basically HAS to go like that.

As far as I know only deals that run across multiple turns are shown in the foreign advisor. Direct one-time gold payments should not show up there, just like traded cities.

Question regarding EP. According to my current EP i should have vision on these 2 cities (but i dont). I am gaining WAY more EP on Cornflakes than he is on me, is there any reason why i shouldnt have full vis of his civ within the next 2ish turns? (all of them hover around the 300's-low 400's roughly for how much to get visibility. With JackRB it worked how i had planned with plenty of EP invested and after getting the rest of his land revealed via map trade.... i got basically full vis of his empire.

Thanks!

IN other news, im pushing all my chips in on taking a large chunk out of Cornflakes with hopefully some support. If Cairo jumps in and grabs a city or two, GREAT. If Ginger jumps in and grabs a city or two, GREAT. Anything that helps bleed units as i make a mad dash for his economic center/cities. I dont care about reconquering Fabled's territory, at least not yet. It hasnt regrown enough to have good whip or build potential and getting into a land war with Boudica is not what i "want" to do, but its what it looks like i have to do. Really wish i could just go take another bite out of JackRB.

City vis can often (always?) take a turn to register after you cross the EP threshhold, a bit like Optics trade routes do. Probably that's why, if you ticked over the requirement this turn. If you get enough EP in a turn, you can end up able to investigate cities that aren't yet visible, which happened to me a fair bit in PB59.

Otherwise - good luck! And thanks for reporting, I don't get to lurk many Superdeath games. I'm rooting for you. popcorn
