Nevermind, different stack composition shown.

Got peace with Cornflakes, cost me 50gold. Got 2 cities out of the deal, and prevented him from snowballing. However, due to Ginger playing a greedy lil role of "hey, lets push my two biggest competitors into a brawl" ... Ginger is now the prime candidate for the win. I NEED Mjmd/bing/cornflakes to interrupt his teching so that i can eat JackRB and wealth build my way into something..
Peace with JackRB expires next turn, i need a solid 10ish turns to build up a good stack but then its going to get messy. Im trying to get open borders with cornflakes and throwing "war vs ginger + fish/fish" to TRY and signify who is most likely to win or at least conquer Cornflakes. I need more land, and Jack's land is well cottaged, making for a good addition. I know i can take one city of his with my galleys that i had at the ready to go and take Cornflakes' island cities, and i have a backup stack with a solid amount of my current catapult stack back by the cornflakes/Jack border for either defense or to push in if Jack vacates that area to defend from my main stack. Main stack will be mostly knights with a ton of catapults to soak up his collateral and to demolish anything that stays in a city. I will have around 8 crossbows in the mix to hopefully kill a good amount of pikes/zerkers if he sends everything at my stack.
Cant wait

Bing sent me this.. So, looks like Bing is going to stick with Mjmd and help Ginger win. Lovely. Bing just throws a curveball in EVERYTHING? lol.
Cairo is also moving his FLEET of galleys towards MJMD so i warned Mjmd about both. This is going to get ugly. JackRB finished guilds, and this turn has 8 knights in his main stack already. They are positioned to either hit Cornflakes (doubtful, as cornflakes WHO IS BASICALLY BROKE.. is feeding JackRB a bunch of GPT.. and they have open borders) OR my Pindi-lands. Im desperately trying to form a counter-stack down south, and so long as JackRB doesnt attack in the next several turns, i should be able to hold without moving my main stack.
Moving onto my Main stack.. With the revelation that Bing and Cairo (and likely Ginger) will all be attacking Mjmd sometime in the coming turns (t170?) i have to decide if i let Mjmd get ate and try and gain some more land from JackRB while ALSO trying not to get slapped by a vengeful Cornflakes.. (thanks for leaving me to dry Ginger) OR if i swing my big-dick stack into Mjmd lands and try and take on Ginger whom is in a extended golden age looking at getting YET ANOTHER GOLDEN AGE, and Cuirs. God. Fucking. Damnit. Pardon my language but damnit. I dont want Ginger to have such an easy victory after tricking me. IT DOESNT SIT RIGHT WITH ME.
Guess i gotta break out the old' vengeful Superdeath.
Question for lurkers/Charriu.
I SWEAR i remember being able to have sentry units on ships and being able to see farther. Did i just mis-remember? Am i just outta my mind? Is it a bug? AM I MISSING SOMETHING? Thanks.

On land you cannot lock behind hills with sentry units. On sea you get the same effect between sea plots and flat land plots.

Alrighty, he moved about half his knights into his capital, and half of his catapults TOWARDS the capital area (in fog) But his main counter-stack is still on the other border.. So, i should be able to take some cities. My goal is simple. Either take most/all of JackRB as QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Or grab another 2 cities or so and then go help Mjmd vs Cairo/Ginger. (probably send a stack of knights/cats to keep Cornflakes alive if Cornflakes accepts my Open borders agreement.

I reallllly hope Jack moves his stack up. He wont, at least i would hope he would see why that would be a bad idea.. But he also hasnt moved some of his rather large garrisons to form an actual counter stack. Seeing that stack of his (10! cats) i think my 60ish unit stack of like 35ish knights, 20cats and 4-5 crossbow/pikes would probably still win on the defense after he smacked my stack with cats. . . Right? I mean it would HURT, but 10 cats shouldnt shread everything i have down to easy wins..
I really dont wanna try and simulate it.
But man do i wanna know.

I haven't simmed it, but off the top of my head, if you throw ten cats at a stack like you just described, I'd expect somewhere around ten to fifteen knights and maybe a couple of crossbow/pike(s) (and of course all your cats) to be completely unscathed. Even among the injured ones, about an equal(ish) number should only take one hit apiece, and few should take more than two. So I guess whether that counts as "easy kill range" depends on what else he has to follow up with and what hammer trade ratio you count as "easy kills," but ten cats can't really shred a stack of 60 - just soften them up a bit.
