After explaining things carefully and slowly on discord the more advanced pitboss players taught me how to create a sandbox. It's pretty helpful to figure out the more precise parts of the micro. I only played up to turn 30 3 times in the sandbox, and in them I tried worker worker, worker warrior while grow to size 2 worker, and worker warrior while grow to size 3 worker. The start that was best was the one where I grew to size 2 before going for a second worker. With my first worker I put one turn into a plains mine on my way to improve corn. Once corn is improved I put one turn into a farm on the way to improve the sheep pasture. While the sheep pasture is being improved Delhi grows to size 2, when Delhi is size 2 I switch to building fast worker and working both riverside tiles to save a turn on BW. The fast worker moves to improve sheep, and puts a turn into a plains mine 1W of the capital on the way. The worker puts two turns into the sheep by the time the second worker is finished, I finish the warrior while growing to size three, the second worker puts a turn into the 1W plains mine, and then goes to put in the last turn on the sheep pasture, then the two workers finish the 1W plains mine. The capital grows to size 3 and BW comes in, I build a settler and the workers chop the forest 1N of the capital.
