Settling 2 cities next turn. Copper/cow city will have a road connected before founding, and the gems/pig one will have its worker start on the pigs. The additional workers being built will finish the road there/work on cottages for the capital and sheep for Jingo Jungle. While it DOES suck being behind everyone in city count, i still like my chances in this game. Again, going for the long-term vs short term demos.

Going fishing-priesthood-writing. Going to be greedy and try and get the oracle. If i fail, i A: get some fail gold. B: Have to research it anyway on my road to my UU. If i had a slightly better commerce start id have gone for Metal Casting to try and grab Machinery with the Oracle, but i dont believe the oracle will last that long.. Probably will fall to Cornflakes before i even get it in my queue, but shall see.

I have to tell myself that gnp is a lie due to holy city + stonehedge culture..

Give me 5turns. My worker-army will have churned the land into something worth reporting. My next city plant will be the crab/sheep/ivory city to the east. Going to plant with a axe/spear for good measure. Next city after that will be to the northwest next to SaC to secure that direction, before probably the western moai city. Ill be doing well once i have my shrine. Been getting several free spreads, knowing that my luck on that has probably already run out... ill be building a monastery to build passive income. in 20-25t i should have 9 cottages down and being worked providing i dont have to whip for defensive reasons.

It has been awhile since my last update.. Main news is that Cornflakes declared war on SaC. Going to wait and see how that goes, but if he starts to grab cities, ill send my soon-to-be axe army over to take that gold city. I have 2 cities coming up in the next 5t or so, with another city + a potential capture in the next 15t or so. 20t from now i get my shrine, which will help keep me afloat as i grow onto all the cottages.

I apparently was not lucky enough to have a non-jungled luxury as everyone else has cities growing much bigger than mine. (silver for pindi, gold for SaC) Luckily i founded a religion and as i have a settler in route, i swapped over to Buddhism giving my cities a much needed happy boost. Ill have ivory hooked up once i settle my last eastern city towards Pindi in a couple of turns, and i "should" be able to grab the gold city from SaC providing that Cornflakes doesnt back out, i assume he will back out after taking 1 city off of SaC, but i can be optimistic. If one of us had currency i would have indicated that it would be a few turns for me to join. (we had been sending war for war vs SaC almost every turn. I was never ready for war, but i kept replying as it IS an eventual outcome with such a land grab for a 2nd? city of SaC, and because Cornflakes like Pindi, are my two biggest threats being my neighbors.. Sooooo anything that slows them down is good for me.

Glad i dont border Mjmd this game, mapmakers were smiling down on us when they decided not to put us together. Almost declared war on him for old times sake when we met, but i forgot.

Makes sense.. i get a PB that i want to open and play daily, and the turns are held up and take forever.

Cornflakes builder of the mid's has peaced out on me.. SO, imma try and extort a city from SaC as well. Probably wont get it considering it was his 2nd or 3rd city and has GOLD, but hey... i can hope. I sent peace for the city, followed by straight peace. 2 archers is more than i can crack easily with so few axes. Was really expecting more units to be moved towards the Cornflakes front. Still though, im just 6t away from having a decent enough shrine. ill be planting another city in 2t, and another in 3t. Getting IW so that i can get MY gems, since apparently only my luxury is in jungle frown

Noticing my own spike, and wanting to be seen as the one that can stop Cornflakes from running away with the game, rather than being someone to watch out for.. once i burn thru this gold ill probably be running break-even on the slider. I should still greatly outpace most of the field in tech other than Cornflakes whom i need to beat to pikes, by getting to my Cataphracts. If he gets dragged down, id MUCH rather go after pindi, and then grab bing land. Just feels like that would fit in nicer.

Any questions before i go hibernate in my no-post cave?
