Okay, might want to talk out my thoughts.
Flute and Bugle were my initial thoughts of course, but those would ideally be INSTRUMENT: 2, so that seemed off upon reflection.
Swing and Pitch are both strong music connections, but that's obviously easier as BASEBALL: 2. Although that can trip over Fan too.
Flute being NOT a music clue makes me completely discount Bugle here. Might only want to keep "swing MUSIC" but I'm honestly kind of perplexed.

Yes, SWING and PITCH could be connected with Baseball, but then again Baseball isn't played all around the world. Still think PITCH is the best first clue for music followed by SWING. I would discount FAN at this moment, because like you said you could make Baseball 3 to clue all of SWING, PITCH and FAN.

Also we may have to win this turn, as I think blue has only 2 to go next.

I think Swing and Pitch are pretty unlikely to be clued by Music unless there’s a strong other baseball word I’m not seeing. Fan, Boom, and Millionaire would all get guessed if it was Basball 3+ but I doubt they’d be seriously considered over Swing and Pitch for Baseball 2.

My guess is it’s Bugle and Pitch which I think you would clue as Music. Of course Flute would absolutely be considered but I’ve seen THawk and maybe others say it’s actually okay to have a guaranteed gray guess as long as it clears up the actual words once it’s out of the way.

In any case I’d guess Pitch first amongst the possible music words.

Whew boy, okay, so COOK and IRON chef are obvious. We liked PITCH as a music word, and this didn't derail us.
My confusing on the fourth is still here. Pie is chef-related but I think chef was probably a 2-guess because of the unlimited. Bugle or swing?
Of course the last explanation for flute being a music miss is that the spymaster is a human being and sometimes we just miss things.

I think there are 9 red words to guess. Since we still miss our 2 music guesses that leaves 3 guesses for Chef and I think it is 3 because we more or less have to win now. Blue has only 2 words left.
COOK is obvious. PIE is normally done by a baker, but then again it is the only food left on the board. Oh right and IRON is related to chef. I still think PITCH is a good guess for music. Now what about the rest. I think DEATH, BOOM, PARACHUTE, PISTOL, AUSTRALIA all have nothing to do with our two clues. That leaves the following words:

- FAN: Musis bands have fans.
- SWING: Music genre
- MILLIONAIRE: Sometimes have their own chef, but that's far fetched
- BUGLE: A music instrument, but then again we already failed with FLUTE before.

I would guess the following order:
1. COOK
2. PITCH
3. IRON
4. PIE
5. SWING

Blue went first and has 9 words total with 3 left. Red has 8 total with 4 left.

Blue was first, so 9 blue/8 red.

I'm going to NOT try to infer anything from pindicator's "I need to think about this for a sec" since I think that's against the spirit of the game.

Taking the clue on its own merits, I think Cook is obvious and if pindicator hasn't heard of Iron Chef then we're just unlucky.

Point to Cook
Point to Iron

The clue wasn't Chef 3 so we're over to Music words. We all have Pitch in our group of two for Music and our discussion before the word was clued emphasized us guessing Pitch next or at least as one of the two music words and it seemingly wasn't waived off, so

Point to Pitch

The last word had me tossing and turning in bed this morning smile pindicator had time to read our thoughts before he clued Chef. Those thoughts:

Commodore: "Flute being NOT a music clue makes me completely discount Bugle here. Might only want to keep "swing MUSIC" but I'm honestly kind of perplexed."

Charriu: "Still think PITCH is the best first clue for music followed by SWING." [note: Charriu didn't mention Bugle at all in his post]

sunrise: "My guess is it’s Bugle and Pitch which I think you would clue as Music."

So how do we adjudicate this? It's seemingly 2:1 in favor of Swing over Bugle, which maybe should be dispositive. But my comment was the most recent so maybe pindicator took that as us being "on track" and clued accordingly.

I'm comfortable with whatever you all want to guess. I think Music for Bugle and Pitch works with Flute as an acceptable gray. If tuning-slide was one word that would be better for Bugle and Pitch but I can't easily come up with an alternative clue that hits those two words but more explicitly misses Swing. Plus it seems like the spymaster would know Music risked Bugle + Flute and hitting two grays seems too costly. I find it easier to believe that Swing Music is obscure enough to have been overlooked than Bugle. But it's also literally "Swing Music" and not "Bugle Music" and Flute being gray certainly doesn't in a vacuum make Bugle MORE likely to be red versus Swing... banghead
