Just playing in my happy little sandbox. Researched Currency. Now just fooling around with some Masonry research. Someone else has a pretty high GNP as well. I think it's my Aztec neighbors to the north.
Empi is playing Genghis Khan how he's meant to be played.
Doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. But we're on peaceful terms so far.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

I don't think it's much of a spoiler to say that PB64 has not just consumed all my Civ time but the majority of my free time in general. So, to my shame and for the first time maybe ever, I missed a turn.
While I missed a turn, the Wunderkind Plemo did the following:
I have no plans. Sorry folks. Two games was too much. If something exciting happens, I'll report it.

The next time poor, stupid naufragar tries to sign up for two pitboss games, you tell him, "poor, stupid naufragar, you do not have time for two pitboss games."
But since we're already signed up, we might as well swing for the fences:
Empi ran the numbers and saw that he was likely to keep his city, so he offered me peace for a gift of 50 gold. But I don't want gold. I want horses. So I attacked and got ridiculously, inanely lucky. If I were on the receiving end of this RNG, I would be screaming, so I feel a little bad for Mr. Empirate. Oh well. Should easily capture the city next turn.
That will secure horses. I'd bet dollars to pesos that all the iron is on the jungle islands and that's difficult to obtain. I've got to say, for a very gimmicky map, this has been very interesting. (Not sure I'm a fan of all the choices, but the map makers definitely planned thoroughly.)
Domestic plans? Bah, Montezuma does not make domestic plans. Montezuma attacks with unpromoted axes against his Aggressive/Imperialistic opponent from a one city beachhead into an unknown continent. I realize I'm a very aggressive player when I'm over at Civforum. Those guys are going to think I'm nuts.
Domestic plans? Ok, ok. We're going for Civil Service for Bureaucracy. (Cap already has an Academy.) I think I'm stealing this idea from Plemo but I forgot to check the foreign advisor.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

We should make a pact.

oh, I thought that's common sense, also at RB (jk)
the attack looks good, but let's hope that he cannot finish a second fresh axe in the city... your guys are somewhat wounded

I'm a terrible teammate. Every time I team up with someone, we inevitably do worse that we would do individually. Don't know what that says about me.

I've missed 2 war turns, but not much has happened. I've killed 3 of Empi's axes and lost 2 catapults for it. (And had one catapult reduced all the way down to 0.1 health.) Still, next turn Aluminum's borders expand. I'm pretty happy with the war so far.
But.... nerf blockades!
 This is so obnoxious.

How is that blockade even doing anything? How is Samsun not still connected to trade through Aluminium?
Have I lived so long in the light that I no longer remember the nature of darkness? .
