Jan 6th was very surprisingly pre-planned by Trumpists. I did not expect it to be, considering how badly they did. Anyway some have gotten convictions and more are on the way.
They did not want to kill just Mike Pence, but also all Democrats, since they believe all Democrats to be Satan-worshipping pedophile vampires and this was supposed to "the storm" where they are publicly executed and Trump takes back power.

I mean they had a freaking confederate flag...that's just pure rebellion, I'm sorry.

As I've stated Jan 6th at minimum is the smoke. It shows the danger of certain types of political lies. We should expect politicians to lie, but there are some lies that should not be tolerated. Jan 6th shows the danger of believing without question "your side". How much of the violence and interference in election counting was planned? Unsure, but again at the very least shows the danger mob mentality which is always a good lesson for everyone as well.

Jan 6th was about having an excuse. Kinda like how Republicans always say X and Y are "unconstitutional". If Mike Pence dies, Biden can't become president. Sorry, it says so here, Trump will just have to remain. It's the law.

I think thats kind of out there Jowy. Everything I've seen indicates that the hang Mike Pence stuff didn't start until a Trump tweet during the riot saying he hadn't done his job. I don't think there is proof said Tweet was specific planned out instructions to kill him. Rather I think it was reckless off the hip Trump tweet. It does show how seriously Trumps followers took his tweets; again shows the danger of believing lies like that Pence had that power to begin with.

They were even showing the place around before the attack. They definitely had a target, whether it's Mike Pence or just any Democrat they might catch.

I mean we know they were shown around. That indicates a plan. We don't know if that plan involved Trump or was just people acting on his behalf. We don't know that the plan was to kill anyone.

Right, it wasn't. It's like when a sports crowd chants "fuck the ref". It's expressing general anger, but nobody thinks it's really a call to carry out that specific action.
And one person had a Confederate flag, so that makes everyone guilty of something? Darrell, you're also smart enough not to fall for fallacies like that.

Oh come on. We all have seen what happened there. People were smashing windows in to get into congress, they stole stuff from congress, broke into offices, smashed cameras and other equipment from media outlets and you want to tell me this was a peaceful protest expressing general anger?

I mean while i dont think it was the plan going in there is a large difference between "fuck" and "hang". Interviews done and videos from the time would say they actually would have hung him.
If you aren't kicking out the person with the confederate flag you are at least accepting of it.
