Pretty amazing that even while second in score and with a strong position, Plemo seems so unassailable (which is a comment on him, not you). Good luck catching up!

No seriously, I don't have very many cities, tech is ok but I've seen better (like nauf who I think adopted Bureaucracy with anarchy?), and I only have one wonder in the shrine. Well Plemo has been getting all the other save SH, but shade with SH also made a conquest, so I'd expect him to do better? Cornflakes also has finalized a conquest this turn, of dem darn Prussians  .
The gist of it is he has more military on the shared continent at the moment and tall cities. The logistics for shuttling over units are very difficult, and he's watching with a scout. So I would expect to achieve no more than him whipping down. He also has the potential to hurt me a lot.

So I've had a lot of luck with spreads around t80-100, with my first 6 cities all converting naturally, which has in part been quite useful for culture. Lately it has been a lot less. The shrine is at 12 gpt. I would have hoped for more, but again, earlier I was quite lucky so no complaint. I'm sending a workboat north to look past Ari, maybe that will earn more spreads.

I assume he ment 2nd in score from guys you know. I have hard time believing you are 2nd game wide ( no offense ).
From my sense of the map it should be possible to capture some cities from Plemo on shared continent if you can surprise him. It takes some time to bring reinforcements and you can only whip 1 unit per turn. Jut right now Nauf looks like better target

So did I , but it's actually true if PBspy is to be believed.
To be fair, 2nd in this neighbourhood does mean something, my 5 contacts are #s 1, 4, 5, 7 and 8 on the scoreboard (shade's Celts are 3rd and Xist/Ginger 6th after their Theo bulb)

I'm just in shock that none of the Ind leaders got Mids. Plemo was probably building for fail gold but just no one built......
