Opened the save but have not played yet. Looks like I lost Dresdiel Lex. There are three more Longships near Kavana. I didn't expext 2 Longships would be enough. Should have swapped some tiles. I could try to take it back by land. IDK this might be over. Thoughts?

Need to keep a longboat galley in the city to raise its DS. Doesn't take much to capture a 20 DS city. Game has been over for a while now, I have just wanted to see how hard I can make it for Thrawn. We can concede if you want, I am sure the others have already. 

Part of me wants to see if we can push him back with crossbows but I won't have the gold for many and he will probably destroy all your gold generation by the time I finish Machinery.

If you want to keep going I am fine with that. I will take my turn for now. If we are going to concede next week works well, as I will be out of town in two weeks anyways.

I won't mind continuing for a bit for a couple of selfish reasons:
1. I want to kill at least one of his units
2. I had slog through PBEM18 when the game was over way before it actually ended and I think a few otehr PBEMs ended too early. I kind of want to make Thrawn work for his victory and make it hard for him.

That being said, if it is becoming unfun for you, I can concede. Don't really care about the other players because they chased religion in a war game.

Turn 65-Gaul
Defensive Tactics complete and I slot Limes and Agoge in instead of Maritime Industries and Ilkum. Campus completes at City VI, I mine 2 hills and start a 2-turn archer. Capital and City II start walls. Looks like Thrawn is coming for my core before yours...
   

He will probably attack City III when his longboats are healed. Not sure if that is enough time to get walls up. They should take 4 turns after the IZ completes. 

My plan is to build a bunch of archers after the walls while researching Recorded History -> Feudalism  and tech research towards Cartography. When I get close to finishing Feudalism, I will complete Machinery for crossbows, No point building them until  I have the medieval card available.

Turn 66-Gaul
Forgot to take screenshot. Chopped out walls at City V instead of campus. Thrawn has the 2 longboats by City III heading that way, probably to scout. Otherwise, not much going on. I did send a request for all your gold. Please accept and I can upgrade a man-at-arms and free my cities from protection.

Walls at capital complete next turn and also finish an archer so my city attack is 25, instead of 6.

England Turn 66

I think I was disappointed last night, because I thorough there was some slim chance to win, rather than just a chance to slow the win down. I am fine continuing it is not that much of a commitment.  I sent you all my gold as requested, and I am just holding position for now on my east coast.  On the west coast I will try a joint land and sea attack to get my city back.

I go back and forth on it. I theoretically could get +22 archers/crossbows with the district promotion and surround them with units and my man-at-arms with support should stand up to his overpowered berserkers. Is it enough to push him back, IDK, it would be a slog. Is it worth giving it a try, IDK that either.

Ran into a bug when I played my turn where the city attack didn't show up. After a few restarts, it was still there but when I upgraded my warrior it fixed itself. Looks like one of the mods is messing with the game again and I don't want to have to deal with it every turn. Not going to have something to upgrade every turn. Therefore, I concede to Thrawn!

Lurkers, if everybody else has conceded, call the game.

That is fine by me. Just took my turn, as far as I can tell I am literally dead in the next turn or two.
