[PB65 Mjmd] Off to Sea Once More

T130

Everything going according to plan I will be in a GA for next 24 turns.

In other news Pin is screwing me out of a city. If I wasn't so far behind in general and specifically behind Cornflakes in both GNP and prod in a GA............ I'm still half tempted to just throw Cornflakes the game. Pin keeps being a very selfish ally.  It makes me want to steal the wheat........ I won't, but I want to.

SD and Cornflakes evidently made friends. One of them accepted fish copper for fish copper for all to see smoke . SD looks to be moving to eat a few Bing cities. Cornflakes still has a quite a few units in the border city but moved some including crucially the cats away. I suspect* an attack on SaC is incoming just due to travel time but I could be wrong, so a lot of my units are on that border and the only thing good about Pin stealing that city is that I can send that little army back SE after.

I'll be interested after the game if Bing was always going to go around or only went around because I razed this. With the chariots where they were I assume razing was the correct choice. Bing actually logged in right before I ended turn, so I saw him leave.

Combat went pretty well. He upgraded warrior to either a spear or axe and  built the other, so he had 3 axe and 1 spear. My losses were only 1 cat and 1 axe. I'll go resettle it with settler that is out and build a new one for Balclutha.

Resettled the city. Cornflakes is just speed running the tech tree in a sick way. I mean I was slightly behind, but not T131 Sankore built tech behind........

T134 capital took back deer and is on its way to its sweet self.  I took the greedy path to music, but I think its safe (mind Cornflakes stole from me in PB63 last time I said the same thing).

Anyone have questions or want to know stuff?

What's your GP/GA planning?

ComeRollMeOver will need to work 2 merchants for 5 turns once its market finishes. Whatever pops there along with the music artist will keep me vaguely competitive for a little longer; will just roll one GA into the next (I believe* if memory is correct will be turn 11/12 so cutting it a bit close).

After the market ComeRollMeOver is scheduled for Great Library and National Epic, so I'll likely only work a few specialist after current GP pops while mainly working other tiles during GA. Its nice to see this city getting to where I was envisioning when settling it. Org religion is next on my list to help speed things up, but if Cornflakes wants to beat me to it can probably, but I think he probably is skipping that part of the tree atm. So it will be responsible for 2/3 for the 3rd GA assuming game lasts that long. HaulAwayBowline home of MoM is going to attempt to slow build the Parthenon and will be responsible for the 3rd GP. Obviously I don't think the game is lasting this long, but you know might as well have plans.

Concern.

Pin cancelled crab for crab and I did not have a renewal when I logged in. I sent Pin a fish for fish. If I have to choose between defending against Pin or defending against the clear game leader, I'm going to choose the stupid one.

Literally the only thing keeping Cornflakes in check is if we all work together. To that effect I basically have 1 MP per city along my entire Pin border.

Did I also tell Cornflakes he could hit Pin without me interfering; you BET!!! I'm not ready to move and grove yet. I was making +7gpt on T100, give me a break people! Although I  honestly don't feel THAT behind where a normal game would be. Its just Cornflakes is doing very good things over there.

That is actually the T140 tech. I probably should have turned on tech T138 instead of T139, but when the game is only played every other day and I forget to note , what can you do.

I'll build some regardless to help make hill cities harder, but no matter what happens it will probably be mainly elephants and cats to try to kill stacks.

I should note I'm still building some missionaries and monasteries. I'm choosing to believe that Pin is not betraying me as the game is just over if he does anyways.

Merchant born this turn and launched 2nd GA.

ComeRollMeOver is now working tiles and I actually passed Cornflakes in production and probably will maintain for next 13 turns.....

Pin returned fish for fish. I'm taking a risk and going for courthouses. I love putting org rel GA hammers into buildings. I also want civil service at some point for the stupidest reason of accomplishing a long farm chain this game. Gotta have goals.

Spreading Christianity around has been slower than I would have liked, but capital is now 1 turning missionaries. BTW I wouldn't be doing this if I wasn't still playing for my own win. If I was just trying to stop Cornflakes it would be all military. Next up is machinery for windmills, which I haven't NEEDED this GA, but there are 1 or 2 I would have built. I did switch into serfdom this turn along with monarchy and vassalage.

BTW I'm half tempted to build Sistine this game. Despite the fact Money has none of Cornflakes wonders its had brutal culture. Or I might just build a cathedral or two /shrug.

Don't you dare interrupt my dreams Cornflakes!!!!
I had some units hidden behind the mountain. Will it be enough popcorn . BTW WTF Pin, why do you have open borders with Cornflakes. I almost lost Outside Track because in my anger over seeing Cornflakes chariot take my worker I threw maybe a bit too much caution to the wind. See below combat log. Cornflakes had kept the worker, so might lose the axe and worker again as I know he had more chariots roaming around. I also forgot he has open borders with SD, so might lose a chariot over there too.

Anyways, its possible Cornflakes just wanted to get some whips out of me. He got 5 pop worth total so far; 4 over here and 1 in the east just in case. I also switched some builds to military just in case. If Cornflakes steps down towards Pump Shanty I'll be forced to sally forth, but my suspicion is this was just a bleeding action / testing preparedness.
