I have questions. SD has been bothering me CONSTANTLY about going to war, but it looks like he went into Cornflakes territory and I'm assuming Pin didn't follow? Ironically him showing up messed up my timing. You can see a new cat that went east. I also had next turned 4 cats in my stack over here to go with it. My timing I've been giving may exactly line up with a push on Citadel. Almost as if it wasn't random timing all along (I mean a little I was using the completion of a random cat to kick things off). But listen I wanted healing turns, border pop turns, and unit prod turns.

I redid some prod after seeing. I actually had a mace in capital, switched to pike for screenshot and then realized I don't want a 7/10 exp pike so I switched it back to an elephant. I also delayed Parthenon. It kind of a give away I want to go longer and SD very much seems to want go NOW NOW NOW!!!

I set up an attack in the east against his city just in case and prepared a counterattack  if he does raze Pump Shanty. I've been a little afraid of a Pin stack of knights showing up, but I never expected a SD stack.......... As a reminder I left India alive SPECIFICALLY to provide an avenue of attack over there.

Some day SD and I will coordinate to take someone down. That day is not this day.

I had sent SD a signal after my last post that I was going to attack between my two cities up here; IE at Citadel. He moved his units up which I thought was FANTASTIC and sent back same message, so I thought he understood.

I sent him a signal to move to the wheat (the way the order goes its better for him to move in first even if I'm the one who will attack). I was pretty sure he hadn't understood because he had moved some units SE of Pec to road it...... Cornflakes did the most obvious thing and attacked and killed them (declaring war to do so). Also, SD went pass the rally point...... Also, I'm not sure if Cornflakes has city vision or if he just moved up his cats because of SDs units, but now I can't go in solo (which I could have without them).

Speaking of EPs Pin continues to be the greatest ally in the history of allies by dumping 20 EP into me a turn (same with Cornflakes). I've been using my 8 (as of this turn) to try to get graphs back on Pin.

So what is the plan? Well next GP isn't actually coming out of ComeRollMeOver, but rather HaulAwayBowline, which hopefully is not a scientist or merchant (I'm having to run 2 merchants, and 1 sci right now but will be increased to 2 sci soon). I then have to get a non scientist out of ComeRollMeOver. A hard task as the Great Library is very powerful at producing those.

What is the plan with the war? Probably just to sit around like Pin is doing.

Cornflakes got shrine and printing press. For reasons unknown he tried refarming his wheat in the west with no guard and I traded an impi for a worker. Clearly winning is occurring.

Pin keeps spending EP on me...... Its possible he is just checked out vs purposeful.

SD keeps sending signals to attack. Without his forces I would need to concentrate all of mine, which again as I suspect city vision, seems iffy.

Edit: I purposefully haven't renamed India capital as I'm not sure I'm keeping......... Tarkeel sent fish message, but its very possible he tries to retake for the lolz.

Seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up. That was my southern / western defensive stack, so I hadn't planned on it going anywhere. SD has been sending signalling for a timed attack for a while. I hadn't thought anything of it because there wasn't a front I could advance on without leaving the other void. The only thing I did was do like a 40% espionage turn against Cornflakes to hopefully leave him blind. I also didn't really expect Pin to do anything..... However, last turn Pin put that stack on the hill so I could see. I therefore moved mine and two workers just in case and offered open borders. He declined the open borders but did move in the stack (I checked with the Impi). Anyways, the ideal scenario is Pins stack gets destroyed but I get to raze Money. Seems like it is worth risk. Pin could do a few things here. He could halt that stack a turn and or reinforce with more units incoming with me. That stack from Pin is certainly not impressive. Am I a little afraid Pin will backstab me again as he almost certainly has city vision and can see I now have no defenses? Sure sure, but you are right; its time to roll the dice.

Edit: I will note that even though SD has been sending a timed signal to me (and assuming to Pin as well), that he did NOT move in. Mind you he has done his normal thing of ONLY building his UU so he is super vulnerable to the stack of pikes that Cornflakes built as a response (as long as Cornflakes gets first strike with cats in). Honestly if SD had switched over and built a stack of maces and more cats he could easily march in.

Impis are once again on the hill of destiny.

Pins stack as anticipated was pathetic. He did not reinforce me (well there is 1 longbow). SDs stack also looks to be in trouble. Will mine work? Might as well try. The two mover stack he hopefully didn't know about. Cornflakes got Taj and can either research rifling or lib it. Pin is still 2nd in power, so he clearly is hoping I do his work and then he can capitalize. He is a fool and should have committed more. Even if Cornflakes has no more and can't attack out (I'm doubtful), and stays to be slaughtered (assuming) I'm pretty sure this game is still a slog for a while.

Its that time I think.

Cornflakes had more cats and A LOT more knights, so my knight stack went bye bye. Since my other stack was there and I didn't see any hope in taking a peace treaty (I wanted to look how bad it was, so I had declined and I wasn't sure if he would reoffer) I went for the 1% chance of razing the city. My luck was HORRIBLE and I lost practically every single fight no matter the percent (I won 4/17 battles most of which were 40-60%). Could I have maybe retreated and at least delayed; sure, but it wasn't getting better and I did have full collateral on the defensive stack and was able to bombard it down quite a bit before. That being said, I clearly should have just realized the game was lost at that point and tried to outlive Pin, which is now my new goal.

I'm kind of mad at myself for committing when Pin sent a small fraction, but I don't think it was getting better. I think SD and I could have taken out the northern city if he had committed with me. I think we could have won if Pin didn't backstab me during my GA all those turns ago. It delayed me being able to respond to Cornflakes invading SaC which was THE timing I had been waiting for, but I had to take a peace treaty with Cornflakes instead and focus on Pin for too many turns instead and whip bloody during majority of the GA.
